Chapter Eighteen- The Worse Of Us

3rd Person

Pandora couldn't believe it, the love of her life was taken by the person who killed her last.  The amount of pain she was in began taking a toll on her body. It had already been 16 hours since John had been missing. Pandora blamed herself, for his capturing. She couldn't feel anything but guilt as she continuously sobbed into one of pillows on John's side of the bed.

The Legends had grown worried about her, more than they ever were before. She had barley been eating; despite the disputes of Nora. They still hadn't known Pandora was pregnant with John Constantine's child.

However, despite Pandora's best efforts trying to keep the pregnancy a secret at least until John knew, it was going to come out sooner or later.

Pandora knew deep down, she needed to do everything possible-everything John had taught her to save him even, if it meant risking the life of herself and her unborn child.

The Legends had been gathered outside the room where John and Pandora used to sleep together. They were trying to be strong but, each little whimper that came from Pandora's mouth made it that much harder.

Sara decided she needed to intervene, walking in the room she saw pills on the dresser as Pandora was silently sobbing. As the others walked in Sara picked up the bottle and read what it was.

"Prenatal Vitamins"

Sara had raised a hand to cover her mouth, to avoid a surprised look but unfortunately what came out of Pandora's mouth gave the truth away.

"Yes I'm pregnant with Constantine's baby, and no he doesn't even know." She said in between sobs.

Everyone gave eachother worrisome looks, realizing that Pandora would be devastated if something happened to John.

*Pandora's Pov*

The cat was finally out of the bag, everyone knew besides the father; everything happens for a reason I guess.

Learning to love again was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do after Ace. At this point everyone was sat on my bed, worried while we waited for the Waverider to pick up any magic signature.

"We're all here for you Pandora." Was the constant line I've heard for the past 15 minutes.

I slowly moved my hand onto my very tiny baby bump and rubbed it with my hand. I had do to something besides just sitting here crying. Right as I was about to get up, Gideon alerted up.

"Mr. Constantine's magical signature was detected 2.6 billion years ago."

"That's-" I started before getting cut off by Nate.

"The ice age."

"Sara you need to blast Neron, it might be the only chance you'd ever get." Constantine's voice was straining was yelling back to us in the ship.

"But what about you John?"

"I'd be happy to go down for the cause." His voice was shivering because of the cold, surely Sara wouldn't shoot right?"

Then Nora did something unexpectedly, she grabbed Mick's communication device and spoke.

"John, we can't. We can't just blast you, Pandora-" She started but then soon was cut off by Constantine.

"Pandora, will be okay, she's strong and she'll be better off without me." John's voice dipped with sadness.

"You're not wrong but, she doesn't want to do that now, why is that Pandora?" Neron interrupted singling me out.

Everyone turned towards me waiting for my next words, and I struggled to get them out but I did.

"John, I'm pregnant." He gave me a surprised look while he was knelt on the ground freezing his ass off.

"Pandora.." John trailed off like he was going to add something.

"GIDEON, FIRE!" We heard Mick scream as Gideon fired.

"RORY WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?!" Sara screamed at him as I ran towards Mick drop kicking him.

"You heard John that might have been our only chance to fire!" He attempted to explain himself as the ice around us was crashing on top of the ship.

"You do realize, you could've killed the father of an unborn child right?" Sara scolded him.

"Captain Lance, we appear to be trapped."

"It's not like he'd be much of a father anyways." Mick spat, whilst getting off the ground.

It took everything in me not to kill him right on the spot. The ship had begun getting colder as the main heating system was shut down to conserve life support. My mind started spinning, as I felt something being poured from my nose, knowing it was most likely a premature vision. The last thing I remember was my head throbbing as it smacked against the ground.
