Molly's POV
"Aren't you supposed to be in school, kid?" Calum asks me, sitting down on the couch beside me.
"They closed it for an investigation. Apparently the Tremor minion from last night went to the same school as me. Police wanna search the school and interview teachers to see if they get any leads or anything," I explain, leaning back, "So Luke brought me to band practice."
"Check out what's all over the news," Michael yells, leaping over the back of the couch. He falls on the seat beside me and snatches the remote. He puts on the news, and a video from last night starts playing. We watch as the goon talks, waving his gun around for everyone to see.
"Look!" Luke yells, startling us all, "There's Psyche!" He points to the corner of the screen where I'm creeping around. The sound of the gun firing makes me flinch. The person filming jerks the camera down so it focuses on Ashton.
"Hold up. Is that Ashton?" Michael shrieks. We watch as he curls up on the ground, holding onto his arm. I rush the teen, starting our fight.
"I didn't realize that Ashton was there when this happened. I thought he had a later shift," Calum talks, frowning.
"He was asleep in bed when we got home. I can't believe he didn't tell us!" Michael pouts.
"Wait what's she doing?" Luke cuts in, pointing at the screen. I turn my attention back and see me put my hand on Ashton's wound. The blue energy glows around my hand. Ashton stares nervously. I smile at his face.
"Morning guys," Ashton mumbles through a yawn as he walks over. He flops across the couch, laying across my, Calum, and Michael's laps.
"Why the fuck didn't you tell us that Psyche healed you after you got shot last night?" Luke demands, glaring at the drummer.
Ashton shrugs, "I don't know. You guys weren't home, and I was tired, so I went to bed. It was a long night, guys. I was shot for fucks sake."
"I thought we had a cool encounter," Calum pouts, "Psyche ran into Luke last night after this whole thing. We didn't know about this yet obviously, but we thought it was pretty cool."
"Mikey told her that she's his hero, and it totally freaked her out," Luke laughs, making Michael smack him on the arm. Ashton giggles loudly.
"You know, it's kind of weird how much we see Psyche," Calum starts, making my stomach drop nervously.
"What do you mean?" I speak up, trying to steady my voice.
"I mean, first the diner, then Ashton's job, then out on the street afterwards. I just think it's a little odd that the five of us have been in the same room as her so much. Do you think she's following us?" He jokes. Oh Calum, you have no idea.
"It is kind of strange," Michael agrees, "But she is a superhero so whatever."
"Maybe you guys are just bad luck," I joke, making them all laugh. The news story changes, and the boys get distracted. My shoulders relax. This is getting a little too close for comfort.
