I quickly dispersed the fire. 'That was close.' I thought in my head. "Are you okay?" I turned around to face the girl. She looked away for a second, but then looked back. "Uh....yes, thanks to you! thank you so much for saving me....that would have been really bad." Said the girl. She seemed pretty shaken up. "It's...no big deal." I said and looked away. 'Why do I feel so hot right now? Am I getting sick?' I thought to myself. Suddenly, one of the men started to talk. We both instantly turned our heads to the men. "Wow, your knight in shinning armor came just in time to protect his Princess!" Said the man who was holding the boy tauntingly. 'Poor kid, he must be scared out of his mind right now!' I thought to myself.
"It doesn't matter how many people come to your rescue, Princess. The situation hasn't changed. We still have this boy in our grasp!" Said the shorter man. I looked to the girl. The scared and helpless look in her eyes has completely vanished. She looks determined to do whatever it takes to save that boy.
"I could easily kill him right no-." His voice was cut off by a certain Earth bender. The ground beneath the men suddenly rose, tossing the men into the air in the process. The girl bends water from the sewer to catch the boy and brings him to her. "Make that two knights in shining armor!" Said Bolin while smirking. The little boy suddenly hugs the girl and starts crying. "Shhh, it's okay, you're safe now." Whispered the girl as she stroke the little boys hair. While she was comforting the boy, me and Bolin had a fight to finish.
"Where do these kids keep coming from?" Said the tall man frustratedly. Bolin suddenly trapped them in a rock prison. "It'll do you good to spend some time in bars. Maybe you'll calm down a little bit!" Bolin said mockingly. I rolled my eyes. He really knows how to piss people off. "You got cocky too soon!" Said one of the men. All of a sudden, fire bursts through the cracks. They got out of the trap.
I got back into fighting position. 'This is going to be a longgg day.' I thought to myself. "Republic City Police! Surrender immediately!" An air ship floated right above us. The men rolled their eyes.
======Time Skip=========
The men were arrested and put into custody. "(Y/n), I promise that we'll be back for you Princes-!" The door slammed before he could finish his sentence. 'So her name is (Y/n).' I thought to myself. I walked back to the girl and Bolin. "Thank you guys so much for saving me. I'm sorry you guys had to step in, I have no idea why I froze like that, it's never happened before." (Y/n) said and rubbed her neck in embarrassment.
I gave her a slight smile. "It's alright, you didn't know what to do. Me and Bolin are lucky that we were so close." I said to reassure her. "But still! That boy was captured because of me..." she said and looked down. "It's not your fault! You had nothing to do with it, right?" Bolin said and put a hand in her shoulder. "Yeah..." She Said And took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled it.
"How rude of us! We should introduce ourselves. My name is Bolin, and this is my older brother Mako!" He said as he pointed to me and him. "He'skindofgrumpyallthetime, sobecarefulwhenyoutalktohim." He whispered as he cuffed his hand over (Y/n)'s ear. (Y/n) just chuckled. "Is that so?" She said and smiled. "*tsk* I can HEAR YOU!" I said and rolled my eyes. Bolin just laughed, and (Y/n) just joined him.
"Well my name is (Y/n)!" She said and smiled. "Nice to meet you, (Y/n)!" Said Bolin as he put his hand out. She shook it and smiled wider. Bolin nudged my shoulder. "Shake her hand!" Bolin whispered as he yanked my arm from my side out. "Yeah, nice to meet you." I said back.
"So (Y/n), do you have a boyfriend?" Bolin said out of nowhere. I sighed and mentally cringed. 'He's wayyy to straight forward.' I thought in my head. "No, not at the moment!" She said cheerfully. Bolin's face lit up. 'Oh no Bolin, you've known this girl for like 2 minutes and you already like her.' I face palmed as I glared at him. He just shrugged with a smile on his face. =========================== (Flash back to when the boys arrived.) (Y/n)'s POV:
'Well, I guess this is it.' I thought to myself as I braved for the deadly blow. I closed my eyes and tensed up. But, for some reason nothing hit me. I opened up my eyes to see a man about my age standing in front of me.
"Are you okay?" Said the man as he turned around. I turned a bright red. 'SWEET BEJESUS HE IS HOT!' I thought to myself. He had black hair, and tangerine colored eyes. He had an incredible jaw line. I turned super red. I turned away in in effort to hide my blush. "Uh....yes, thanks to you! thank you so much for saving me....that would have been really bad..." I tried to form a decent sounding sentence, but I couldn't think straight.
"It's...no big deal." Said the man as he looked away. Both of our heads snapped to the men as one of them started talking. "Wow, your knight in shinning armor cams just in time so save his Princess!" Said one of the men. I rolled my eyes. "It doesn't matter how many people come to save you, Princess. Your situation hasn't changed. We still have this boy in our grasp!"
I got super angry at that comment. I could feel the anger boiling in my body. "I could easily kill him right no-" the man was cut off by the moving ground. 'An earth bender?" I questioned to myself. I quickly bend water to the boy to catch him. I brought the boy to me and he grabbed onto me. "Make that two knights in shining armor!" Said a boy that jumped out. He had black hair and green eyes, with a goofy smile. I held the child in a hug, and attempted to calm him down by running my fingers through his hair. "Shhh it's okay, you're safe now." I said while brushing his hair. ===========================After the fight, The police arrested the men. "(Y/n), I promise we'll be back for you Princes-!" One of the officers slammed the door before he finished. I sighed. I really don't want anyone figuring out who I am.
=========================== Mako's POV:
"Are you going to tonight's pro-bending match?" I said, trying to draw her attention away from Bolin in attempt to save him. "Uh, yes. I would love to!" She said while smiling. I got hot again. "Um...we are playing in the match tonight, and it would mean a lot if you came to support us." I said while scratching my neck. 'Real smooth, Mako.' I said and mentally facepalmed. She just smiled. "Of course I'll come and support you! I'll bring a friend for extra support! She'll love it!" She grinned even wider.
"The more the merrier! Please bring your friend!" Said Bolin while grinning. "Oh, shoot! It's already super late. I need to get back!" She said in a panic tone. "We can walk you there if you want!" Bolin said and smiled. I nodded. "It's okay, I don't want you guys to go through all of that trouble!" She hopped on a tiger leopard. "I'll see you guys tonight!" She said and took off in a hurry. I watched her until she was out of sight. Bolin turned to me. "So, Mako, are you love struck yet?" He said in a teasing tone. "Shut up Bolin. Come on, let's get the food and get back home before the match." I said and rolled my eyes. 'Why did they keep calling her princess?' I thought to myself. ===========================
