Chapter 11

(Y/N)'S POV:

"Woohoo! Yes! One more win and we're in the championship tournament!" Bolin cheered. His voice suddenly changes. "So, what'd ya think, girls? Bolin's got some moves, huh?" He asked as he removed his helmet. Korra then grabs his collar. "What did I think? What did I think? That was am​azing!" She pushes Bolin backwards, which makes me burst into laughter. "Be careful Korra, you might hurt hi-" I immediately stop making noises the second I see Mako and Hasook approaching. They both did not look very happy.

MAKO'S POV:

"You did more harm than good out there. You almost cost us the match!" Hasook was slacking the whole match, and this was a too important of a match to lose. "We won, didn't we?" Hasook said, clearly not seeing a problem in his actions. "Barely!" I snapped back at him. "You're only this angry cause your little girlfriend came all the way here to watch you, and you almost screwed it up. Get off my case pal." He said agitatedly as he threw his helmet on the ground. He walks out and slams the door before I could say anything else. "Useless" I say under my breath, still annoyed by his words. 'Why does everyone keep saying she's my girlfriend? I just met her not too long ago' My thoughts were interrupted when I realize that she's here.

"Mako, are you okay?" She asks with a concerned voice. I almost immediately forget about what I was angry about and turn to her. My frown turns into a smile smile. "Yeah, I'm okay. Did you like the match?" I ask her. "Are you kidding? I absolutely loved it!" She exclaimed as she jumped closer to me. I can feel my smile grow wider. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. There will be tons more for you to see." (Y/N) moves to the side of the wall I'm leaning on. "I can't wait to see more of you guys, I've never seen something like this!" Her hand skims mine as she moves her hand into her pocket. For some reason the touch lingers for a few seconds. I just shrug it off. As I'm about to continue the conversation, Korra walks over to us. "You guys were incredible out there! "Especially you, Mr. Hat Trick!" Annoyed by Her interrupting our conversation, I give her a cold response. "Oh, you're still here?"

(Y/N)'S POV:

Oh no. Mako provoked Korra. "Oh, you're still a jerk?" She said as he walked away. "Oooh" Bolin said and smirked. "Korra, chill." I say and lightly punch her. "So you're just gonna defend your little boyfriend instead of your best friend?" She says and rolls her eyes. "He's not my boyfriend!" I yell at her. "Anyway, I've been immersed in bending my entire life, but I never learned how to move like that! It's like there's a whole new style here! Think you could show me a few tricks?" She asks excitedly as she changes the subject.

"Ab-so-lutely!" Bolin says back.  "Right now? Come on, Bolin." Mako says, clearly annoyed. "Just ignore him. Yeah, I could show you the basics. "Can I learn too?" I ask as Mako perks his head up, seemingly know interested in the conversation. "Of course! I'm just not sure how my earthbending would translate to your waterbending, but we'll figure it out." Me and Korra look at each other and smirk."Won't be a problem. I'm actually an earthbender." Bolin's eyes widen. "Well, I guess I can learn from Mako if he would want to teach me, cause I'm actually a firebender." This causes Bolin to freak out a little bit. "I'm sorry, no, no! I didn't mean to assume. 'Cause I, you know, I was just figuring ... with the two of your Water Tribe getups ... that you two are ... Water Tribe ... gals. "Nope, you're right. I'm a waterbender. And a firebender." Korra says smugly. "I'm just a waterbender and a firebender, I'm not as cool." I say casually, like there's nothing different about what i just said.

"Mm. Mm-hmm. I'm very confused right now." Bolin says while putting his hand on his chin. "Korra's the Avatar, and I'm an idiot." Mako says and bow his head. "Both are true." Korra mockingly says. "No...way." Bolin covers his his and whispers "The Avatar!"

We make our way to the training room.

Bolin teaches the basics of earthbend probending as me and Mako have a conversation. "Soooo....If Korra is the Avatar, but you can bend two elements, what does that make you? How can you even bend more than one element if you aren't the Avatar?" I freeze while I think of a response. "Uh, that's a good question. To be honest I have no idea. I guess I was born this way." I scratch my neck as I give him my response. He just nods in response. As we watch Korra and Bolin train, he asks me a question.

"How about you show me your moves?"
