Lucy Is Gone For Good?

Chapter 3: Has Lucy Gone Mad?

Lucy woke up at the same time as usual, but something was different, she was in her bed sleeping. She would normally find herself on the floor with Natsu in her bed or be on the bed with Natsu squishing her. But today was different, there was no sign of Natsu or Happy. “Finally, he learned his lesson!” She said with a grin, but the grin lasted for only a second as the feeling of loneliness filled the room. “Oh, come on Lucy, you should be happy.” She told herself.

    “Yeah be happy Lucy!” Gay said popping out of nowhere.

“AHHHHHH!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! AND GET SOME CLOTHES ON!!! Do I seriously have to tell you every time to GET OUT!!!”

“Hey, Lucy, did you paint your nails?”

“What? No, why?”

“Their black.”

“What?! I bet it was that darn cat!”

~ Back at the guild ~

“It wasn’t you?”

“No, Lucy, I was with Natsu all night last night. Aye.” Happy said. The furry blue cat was standing on the counter with a full stomach and fish bones in his hand.

“If you didn’t do it then who did.”

“I don’t know who could have painted your arm in such a short time.”

“My arm?” Lucy said while looking down, her arm was totally black, “AHHHHH!!!! It was only my nails before, how did this happen?” She squealed.

“Hey, Lucy! Your left arm looks pretty cool.” Natsu said from the seat next to her. He just finished his meal as well.  “It’s got the black flames coming up the side.”

“What?!” Lucy was starting to get light-headed. “Why is this happening? How do I stop it? What do I doo……?” Lucy fell to the ground with a thud, as everyone started to come over to see what all the fuss was about.

“What happened? Why is lucy on the floor? What is that black stuff covering her arms?” The questions floated and bobbed around the guild.

Everyone was flustered and alarmed. And everyone was shocked when… wait Lucy stood up! The black stuff was now all over her legs and was starting to climb up her neck. No one knew exactly what to do when Lucy started walking to the door.

“Are you ok, Lucy?” Natsu asked while reaching out to grab her arm to stop her. As soon as he touched her arm she flipped him over her back on to the floor,  “Whoa, What are you doing Lucy?” She lifted him off the ground, twisted his arm into a chicken wing and a wrapped her arm around his neck for a choke hold. “What are you doing lucy?!”

“............”

“Lucy, can you hear me?”

“............”

“LUCY!!”

“….kill me.“

0o0 “W-what?..... Ha, ha, nice joke. Now let go so we can do a job.”  ^v^

“.........”

“lucy?”

“I can’t….. I can’t move….. I can’t control myself.” A strange sizzling came from lucy and her grip around Natsu’s neck got tighter. “AHHHHH! OW! IT HURTS …… Natsu, please…. KILL ME!!!”

“I WON’T!!!”

“PLEASE IT HURTS AND IF YOU DON’T…… I… I don’t want to kill yo…. AHHHHH!!!”

“LUCY!!”

“....ahhh…..ah...nyaa…..”

“Lucy….. LUCY!!!” She began to squeeze even tighter, a bruise began to form around his neck.

“Natsu!!” Warren yelled from the group of guild members surrounding them. He was in his telepathic stance. “She said if you don’t kill her then …… then….” He wiped some tears away as he finished the sentence, “the Lucy Heartfilia will no longer exist. Her body will be taken over by the shadow that is choking you now. And once it has full control, it will be unstoppable” He looked so serious and scared at the same time. As Natsu felt the weight of defeat he dangled his head. Tear drops fell like falling stars from his limp head.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Lucy screamed as Natsu’s flames engulfed them both in a soft coat of light. Lucy flung away from Natsu and started thrashing around in hopeless attempt of putting out the flames. After Natsu refilled his empty lungs he turned around and hugged what was left of Lucy in the flames of her demise. Her body was all black from the shadow that possessed her, and her hair was slowly burning away as well.

“natsu….” Lucy moaned, “Thank you….. and Natsu….. I’ve always ….. loved you… I always have……..” Her body went limp, her hair was gone and a final stab of guilt dug into Natsu’s heart.

“There was nothing else you could do, Natsu….” They confronted him and cried for the rest of the day, until they fell asleep once more.
