Lucy Is Gone For Good?

Chapter 6: The Great Dragon!!!

Natsu’s POV:

At the foot of the mountain was a giant half dragon, half human creature. Sitting on a giant boulder. It looked like it was meditating, sitting with it’s legs crossed, it’s large staff on it’s legs and it’s eyes were closed. The red scaly creature was like nothing I have ever seen! I want to fight it so badly. But I can’t even protect myself. I look at all everyone and they look at me with the same idea. I nod and begin to walk around the boulder. Movement came from the lizard face and he jumped in front of me, crushing the ground beneath him.

“Halt! Who goes there?” He demanded with his deep voice. We all stop in our tracks.

“We are wizards from the Fairy Tail guild!” Erza announced. “We are here to…”

“To get rid of the Great Dragon? There is no way I, Aeolius, guardian of the wind, or my brothers can let you pass!” He let out an ear splitting battle yowl as the ground beneath him cracked and the air whipped around him making a barrier. Three more came crashing down around us. A red one with flames around it, he looked the biggest, a yellow one with lightning surrounding it, and a black one with iron armor around it, I was surprised to see that much armor on such a little lizardman. The all glared at us. Then the black one spoke. “We are the four Dragon Guardians!” He said in such a weird, twisted midget voice. “I am Farris, the Iron Guardian! And  my brothers,” he point to the yellow one, “Rai, the Lightning Guardian,” he points to the red one, “Ignado, the Fire Guardian,” he points to the the white one, “and of course you have already met Aeolius, the Wind Guardian!! Together we are going to keep the dragons safe from any humans that try to harm them!!”

“...” Everyone stared at the Farris in a moment of shock. “Pht… BWA HA HA HA HA…!!!” We all burst with laughter at the midget in his block of armor.

“Look at the pipsqueak trying to be tough!!” Gray says between giggles and gasps.

“Ah ha ha ha!!! You think DRAGONS need protection?! ah ha ha ha…. ” I trail off as the midget gets angry. It almost looked like he was going to pop.

“AHHHHH!!!” He screeched. “Fine then how about we see who is laughing after we beat you to a pulp!!! RAHHHH!!!” The little “Guardian” looked like a toddler on a rampage. We laughed until we noticed an entire army of gray lizard people ready to pounce on us. “ATTACK!!!” He cried. A swarm or lizards charged from all sides. Ha, comer’ you little lizards i’ll swat ya with my Dragon Slayer Magic!!! I was itching to fight strong opponents again. Fire Dragon…Aw, crap!! I forgot I don’t have any magic right now.

“Natsu!! LOOK OUT!!” Happy yelled. He swooped down and hoisted me as high as he could go. “Natsu, are you ok?” I nod, depressed. But Happy smiles and sighs. “Remember what happened this morning?” How could I forget? (poor natsu T^T) “I can’t do it again. I have been trying but I can’t seem to do it. So I’ll keep you up here till the fight is over. I don’t want you to get hurt…” Happy… I gazed at his wings for a moment, then I looked down at the fight. Everyone is fighting except me. Erza, Gray, Gajeel,Levy, Happy, Lucy… Wait Lucy!!! Where is Lucy?! Suddenly Happy squeals in pain and we start falling. AHH!! Happy!! I flail around frantically in a panic. Happy shakes it off and we start to float again.

“Well, well, well… look at what the cat dragged in.” We turned around quickly to see Ignado’s leg hitting me in the face. We crashed into the ground, luckily I was able to save Happy from the hit. Erza, Gajeel, and Wendy glanced over to see what happened but couldn’t get out of their fight fast enough to hit Ignado before he smashed down on top of me. Blood dripped out of my mouth and onto my scarf. The lizard jumped off me and landed a few feet away.

“Natsu!!” Erza yelled. She rushed over to me and checked my wounds.

“Damn Natsu, how weak did you get?” Gajeel  looked over from his fight with Farris.
