Leah's pov-
Summer is now over, now we are going back to school shopping. "Hey dad, do you think I can get my doubles on my ear?" "No." "Why can't I?" "Because last time I checked you were afraid of shots, what makes you think you can get another hole in your head." "It's actually ear, shouldn't you know that you are a doctor." He sighed because he knew I was right. I smiled and we got in his car to head home.
Once we arrived home and unloaded the car. He said "Okay go get ready for dinner me and the boys have a special surprise." "Okay." I went upstairs and went immediately into my closet. I sighed and pulled out a white dress with yellow flowers and a pair of black and brown sandals. I got changed and did my makeup just how I would normally do it. I fixed my hair and smiled, "Perfect." I walked downstairs to see the boys all ready.
"Let's go!" I smiled and I got into the back in between Luke and Calum. My dad was driving and Michael was in shotgun. Luke said "So how was back to school shopping?" "Leah did I dent in my wallet." "Hey I live an expensive lifestyle. You knew that dad!" He laughed and I said "But yeah we got everything." Once we arrived at the restaurant we parked and walked inside.
We got a big booth for all five of us, we were looking at the menu. Once we ordered, I took a sip of my lemonade and my dad said "So we have some big news for you Leah." "Okay." I started to play with my hands and he said "We decided to buy out the building next door and open our own Hospital." "Okay?" "Why do you seem confused?" Asked Luke, "Well what about your normal practice?" "We are going to keep it and hire new people because our main concern is going to be the hospital."
"Okay." I took another sip of lemonade and the waitress came by with our food. Once we were done eating and paid, we went back home. Once we arrived home I went upstairs and started to get ready for bed. I was pulling out my pajamas when a knock on my door was happening. "Come in!" I yelled and I turned around to see my dad. "Hey you seemed off when we told you that." "It's not that, it's just, nothing. Forget about it."
"What is it honey?" He asked as he sat on my bed, I was still looking for some pajamas. "Dad it's nothing for real." "No something is up." "Maybe I miss mom okay." I turned around when I said that and he said "Honey." I started to cry and he pulled me into his arms and sat me down on the bed with him. "It's just dad I tried to fit in and I started to smoke but then the more I'm thinking about it. The more I'm so stupid!"
I yelled and started to cry even more, he started to play with my hair and said "It's okay, it's okay." "No it isn't dad!" At this point I was sobbing and I heard my uncles coming in. My dad made some sort of motion and he said "Leah you need to breathe." "Dad she is gone and I miss her!" He sighed and I felt something cold wipe my arm and a pinch. "No dad." "It's fine it will make you relaxed." "Can you stay with me?" "Yes."
Before I fell asleep he kissed my forehead and he said "She is proud of you." I crashed out in his arms.
