Unique (a HTTYD Fanfic)

Beginning

My name is alaya, (A-Lai-ah) i am twenty nine years. I was abandoned soon after I was born, my parents thought me unnatural and horrifying claiming that I was a curse to the family and the village. A bad omen that something would happen killing them all . The only solution was to lay me in front of a cave where horrifying beasts lived and no human returned alive.

These beasts were hideous monsters from elves, goblins and trolls to dragons and giant serpents, but this cave was actually an entrance to their land, they accepted me as one of their own. I was no different then anybody else there. I learned all the languages as I grew and sharpened my skills and instincts I learned from them and soon I became a warrior. At 18 they deemed me ready to go outside of the border and explore, telling me to stay away from people for they were unpredictable and dangerous to us. They gave me a necklace and a welcome that if I was to ever return they would accept me with open arms.

The nymph that raised me was claiming I was blessed by the great mother and should be a queen, not someone who follows one. I never believed her. There were many dragons in our land and the lower ones were plentiful while the higher ones were very few the two highest where the fury's the night and the the light I am a type of night fury. My presence was kept a secret from those around me, most claimed I was the child of an elf or nymph and a human, i was born with hair that was pitch black but at night it seemed to glow different colors making it look like I dipped my head in the night sky, I am the only known galaxy dragon to exist and nobody has ever known until now.

As a galaxy dragon I can change to a human,I am called a galaxy dragon (see photo above for design just with a night fury's body shape like toothless) because I'm pitch black but I have Galaxy's and stars that glow in the moonlight I can dim the lights on my body though not all the way. I fly at night because it looks like it's just stars and I hide in caves in the day, i can spit black fire out of my mouth which is the hottest fire that a dragon can make. I can blend in with shadows if I wanted to, I'm about three sizes bigger then a normal adult night fury, I have night and heat vision because I'm normally out at night. Many dragons get nervous when I'm around I think because I'm the only one of my kind and one of the most deadly but oh well,
I prefer to stay in my human form you would never know I'm a dragon unless you look at the little things I do like eat a lot of fish and meat and sniff around and have a fiery attitude. if I'm injured in one body I will change to the other to protect myself but if I'm injured in both I will normally stay in the dragon form because that would normally be the safest. Now back to my travels.

There's a couple small islands below me and I circle them a few times before looking at the village, it's big with many colors, I can see dragon perches and even dragons on houses sleeping. Everyone looks to be sleeping so I land a ways off and switch to my human form then I sneak through the village and gather rations like bread, water, fish, and meat. Once I gather everything i need I run out of the village and into the forest, the sun should be up soon so I go and find a cave close enough to the village but far enough away where they won't bother me. The cave i found was basically a decent size hole in the side of a mountain and it got bigger the farther you went in, it was perfect I made sure I could get through as a dragon before I moved in because trust me I have made that mistake before it wasn't fun. Finding the biggest part in the cave I start getting comfortable I place all my food and supplies that I've gathered on a small ledge in the corner. Finally Changing into my dragon form I heat up the rock before bedding down for the day.
