A/N: Before we start, I want to say that this will be the longest chapter of this book...so far at least. I try to really go in depth on what happens in here so it may seem a little different than what I usually do. I really believe that Abuse stories should really go into detail, telling as to why something happened. Requested by a good friend known as PrinceOfPars. Also, I couldn't think of a good title. So... Yeah...

3rd Person POV

Silence. Pure, cold silence. Never in his life had Y/N known that something so calming yet so frightening existed. With the silence, there can be peace and joy. No loud music... no loud footsteps... no explosions. However, with silence, there can also be fear and danger. Without any noise, the sense of uncertainty can run wild. In silence, there can always be the possibility of someone watching you from the distance. Though... there was something that Y/N feared more than uncertainty. More than heights. More than, dare he even say, death.

Y/N's gaze slowly trailed around the living room. From the pictures of relatives to the lamps, his gaze seemed to be touching everything. However, once his eyes landed on a particular picture, Y/N had felt a few tears slide down his cheek. The picture was of him and a girl who was a little bit taller than he was. The girl was in athletic attire, her hair was even in a long ponytail. The look in her hazel eyes seemed so... astounding. There had been a large amount of joy within them, the kind of joy that Y/N hadn't seen in so long. "Jasper..." More tears began to slid down Y/N's face. He would've made sure to wipe them away, but he knew that even then he would just release more. "I... I should've never let you join... but I was just..." Y/N then bit the bottom of his lip.

"Everything that came your way... it was my fault." Y/N's gaze then moved to the ground. He could bare to even look at the photo anymore. It was bringing him too much heartache. "If there was anything I regret... it's letting you fall so deep into this rabbit hole..." For a brief moment, Y/N looked up at his reflection within the TV. Seeing the bandaid on his cheek, and the numerous bandages on his body, Y/N shook his head. "No... No, why am I doing this? Why... Why am I taking the blame? She did this to me. She... She was the one who scarred me! She... She was the one who hurt me the most. Or maybe... she's the one who hurt herself most."

Standing up from the couch, Y/N slowly made his way upstairs. "Jasper won't be back until tomorrow morning. At least I'll have the bed to myself..." Coming into the bedroom, Y/N fell straight on to the bed, falling asleep instantly as soon as his head hit the pillow. His final thoughts before he fell asleep were of Jasper. Just like normal.

Jasper released a soft sigh as she sat in her locker room. She wasn't sure if she could do this. Hell, she wasn't sure of anything at the moment. Tonight was her first match... and she was nervous as hell. "Jasper?" The brunette jumped slightly at the sound of Y/N's voice. "B-Babe? What are you doing in here? Shouldn't you be out there?"

"I just came to check up on you. You alright?"
"I... I'm a little bit... nervous."
"Well it's your first boxing match. You're gonna get nervous."
"What if... What if I get knocked out round one? What if I make a fool of myself?" Y/N took a seat by Jasper and placed his head on her shoulder. "You won't. I know you won't. Vince knows too. He is your trainer after all."
"O...okay..."
"You still sound unsure."
"..."
"Jasper, you've trained months for this fight. You. Got. This. You wanna know why?"
"W...Why?"
"Because you are Jasper Valentine. The Jasper Valentine. The girl I fell in love with and the girl who is going to win her match tonight."
