It's Not Unusual

A/N: Keep the request coming. This chapter isn't apart of one of them. I just felt like doing this one since I was bored.

Y/N POV

"Ow! Could you stop pressing it down so hard?" Rebecca rolled her eyes as she helped me with the cut under my eye "I'm not pressing anything down you big baby." She stopped and started to rub something on to it "Fucking stings..."

"Your face will sting if you don't stop swearing near me. Now. I should be done in a few seconds here." I curled my fingers up the more it started to go on "Son of a... beehive." It finally stopped stinging and Rebecca smiled "Better now?" I nodded and she slapped my neck "THE HECK BECCA?!"

"That's for almost getting yourself killed!"
"Reb-"
"Don't talk. Listen. I understand that you were angry and frustrated, but trying to fight him?! That is probably the dumbest thing you've done!"
"...He took her from me."
"..."
"Do you know what was going through my mind the moment I saw my "best friend" kissing my "girlfriend" in public? I was thinking about everything I did wrong in our relationship. Did I drive her away from me? Did I not give her enough attention? I tried to be there for her at every moment I could. Maybe I missed something important, maybe I didn't."

Rebecca stayed silent as I continued. "You only saw the aftermath Becca. When I say I hurt Kevin, I mean it. If you think I look bad then you should see him. I hurt that prick."

Flashback

I spit out a tooth and put my hands back up "Come on you asshole! I can do this all day!" Kevin growled and went to tackle me. As he grabbed my waist, I started to deliver body shot after body shot to slow him down and to loosen his grip. "STOP IT YOU TWO!" I slammed my fist into his back, causing him to finally let me go. He held his sides and this is when I decided to really hurt him. Once he stood up straight, I sent a quick jab straight to the center of his nose, causing his eyes to water. While he was disoriented, I hit him directly in the enter of his throat and kick beneath the belt.

In a real fight, there are no rules. I struck his jaw with a strong right hook which set him down. Amber tried to pull me away from him, but one look at her made her stop. I walked up to Kevin and spit in his eye "FUCKING PRICK!" I stomped directly on his chest, causing him to start coughing "I TRUSTED YOU!" I held up my leg, only to have it come crashing down on his face "YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU'D NEVER SET YOUR EYES ON HER!" Each time I stomped on his face, Amber's cries got louder and eventually, people ran over to see what was going on. I stopped and looked into the crowd. I looked back down at Kevin and growled "If you get back up, I'll kill you." I ran through the crowd, but I only got so far... until I heard a faint voice in the distance "Y/N?"

End Flashback

"The girl I tried to impress so much...became the girl that I despise. For as long as I live, I will always remember the position they were in. She was sitting on his lap and..." I looked down and closed my eyes. I could feel Rebecca's hand on mine "Don't think about her Y/N. She...she wasn't the one for you."

"But I wanted her to be. I tried so hard to get her attention and in the end it-"
"Y/N M/N L/N. Look at me."

I opened my eyes to see with a determined look on her face. "Do as I say. Don't talk. Listen. This was a good thing. If you hadn't found out that Amber was a cheating slut today, you may have never known for the rest of your life. The children you could've had might not have even been yours. You wouldn't have known that Kevin was a traitorous asswipe who need his teeth busted in! You wouldn't be here with me!"

3rd Person POV

Rebecca's eyes went wide and she quickly put her hand over her mouth "R... Rebecca?" Her hand shook for a few moments before it stopped. "Yes?" Y/N's hand never moved as he look her in her eyes "Is...is there something you'd like to tell me?"

"...I... I-I..."
"Please tell me."
"I was always afraid to tell you this, but... I guess the cat's out of the bag." Y/N sat up straight.
"When we were younger, during the 5th grade to be exact, I had... this weird feeling in my stomach when I was with you. Since I was a kid, I would think that I was just hungry, but that wasn't the case."
"..."
"Then when Recess came around I'd take your things so you'd chase me around and even then, that odd feeling would come back. It got even worse in Middle School when we had most of our classes together. That's when I started to realize that... I had a crush on you. Do you remember when we had those Holiday Dances?"
"Yeah..."
"I always noticed you were standing there alone while everyone danced with large smiles on their face. I wanted to ask if you wanted to dance with me, but I was afraid of rejection."

A few tears slipped out from her eye, but she quickly wiped them away "Then 9th grade came and I noticed that... Amber was the apple of your eye. You spoke of her like she was your everything and I thought you forgot about me. When I heard you two got together I... I couldn't handle it. I just felt sick. I didn't come to school for a whole week..."

"That's why I didn't see you..."
"Yeah. Everyone was happy for you two and I was forced to watch as she put her lips on yours. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't find the words."

Rebecca stayed silent for a moment and closed her eyes "I thought you were gone forever...until today." Y/N pulled his hand away and held Rebecca tightly. She started to sob into his jacket, but he didn't care. He'd be her shoulder to cry on. "I... I'm sorry for not noticing before. I was too blind to see. When we were in Middle School I had believed that I'd never find anyone, but you were always there. Instead of being with Amber I... I should've spent those moments with you."

Rebecca looked up with puffy eyes and a small smile "I... I guess we both fucked up, huh?"

"I thought we couldn't swear here?"
"You aren't. I am."
"And why's that?"
"Because I said so."

They both laughed, but Rebecca stopped before him. Her face heated up a bit and it began to inch closer to his. Y/N opened his eyes to see her very close to him. "...Uh-" Before he could utter another word, Rebecca planted her lips on his.

A/N: Cliffhanger. Also this is the only part to this chapter. Ain't I a stinker?
