Me and Lucy are now in the Schuyler's guest room, while father is with uncle Philip on the balcony having a drink.
The Schuyler sisters are also with us to bond.
"So Martha, tell me about your boy" Eliza Said out of the blue
I almost spat the tea I was drinking with her question. What is she talking about?
"I don't have any boy or someone else" I replied seriously
"Oh come on, what about that Hercules Mulligan? He's a cute guy" Peggy said while lying on her stomach
"Him? he's just a friend---" I was cut when there was a knock on the door. Lucy opened it and gave me a funny look
"Speaking of the devil" Lucy said before opening the door wide and standing there is Hercules Mulligan himself
I heard my friends ooh-ed and squealed.
I rush to the door and ran to him. I pushed him outside and closed the door behind me.
"Not her boy alright" I can hear their laughter from the other side of the door
I am now standing outside of the room face to face with this man.
"What are you doing here?" I said irritatingly
"For you" he held out a bouquet of tulips.
I smiled as I look and get the multicolored tulips from him. I really don't know what I'm doing
"What's this for?" I asked and smelled the flowers
"As I said, I will be your suitor and I won't rest until you say yes" he said. I can feel the sincerity of his voice.
"Well..... I-I should get back there...... thanks for these by the way" I said
I held the handle and turned to him one last time
"Goodnight Mulligan" I said before entering and I heard his goodnight on the other side
"Ehem" Angelica fake coughed to get my attention
I showed them the bouquet that Mulligan gave me
"Wait.... is that the tulips from our garden?" Peggy interject
"Oh we don't mind, as long as it's for you, Martha" Eliza said kindly
I put the flowers on an empty vase before hanging out with the girls.

We left to our next camp for the next battle by dawn. We are now riding our hoses
Lucy isn't with me because she is busy talking with Laurens. Aren't they cute haha
I was riding alone but then suddenly Lafayette went to my side.
"Good morning, cheri " he greeted then his eyes landed on the bouquet that I placed on one of my bags, his smile suddenly became a frown. I brought the flowers with me because I really love tulips
I can see the hurt in Lafayette's eyes. And he never spoke a word after.
When we arrive at the base camp, we settled our horses on to some trees. We put up our tents and prepared for battle
We fought the war same as usual. But now without Mulligan being shot.
When I went back to our tent Lynn came running to me, panting.
