Fireworks were shooting into the sky.. all over the 24th district, crews and security teams were guiding spectators to their seats in the Babel Stadium, a stadium capable of seating 800,000.

The night sky shown with lights all over as the fireworks exploded with beauty. Souvenier shops were open, selling action figures of members from different famous guilds. In about 2 hours, the games would begin.

According to Marakarov, each guild had been designated to wait in a certain spot before the games, a starting point before the beginning event that would eliminate most of the guilds and only leave the 6 strongest guilds standing to take the main events over a series of days. This was one of the rule changes that was most noticeable thanks to the fewer spots allowed for a guild to make it into the real games.

According to the rules.. in the first event, the presence of espers and mages together in one team was encouraged, thanks to the rumored challenges which would challenge both aspects of supernatural capability.

Mikoto was currently walking through the stands, looking at all the events, with her exceed partner Elli sitting at her usual spot on Mikoto's head. Little Lucy was holding Mikoto's hand and chewing on a cone of cotton candy.

After the end of the School competition portion for the Festival, Mikoto had decided to use the next 3 hours to enjoy some of the festivities before the start of the main competition. She felt it was the best way to calm her nerves. For some reason, the Power Development Festival seemed even more huge then the Grand Magic Games ever were.

It was almost like a combination between a Sakura Festival and a full blown theme park. There were rides, food, and even lanterns were floating through the sky by magic, changing color and spreading magic cherry blossoms around.

Mikoto stopped by a stand that seemed to be selling collectable figures.

"Wow Mikoto!" said Elli pointing a paw at some of the figures. "I don't recognize some of these figures Mikoto, who are they?"

"I don't know them either." said Mikoto. "A 5 year time skip, and the next thing you know, you have a 5 year old sister and there are a billion other guilds you've never heard of.."

"Pretty much!" said Elli cheerfully.

"Mimmi look! It's you!" Little Lucy exclaimed.

"Oh.. what do you know.." Mikoto walked over to a part of the stand where there was a basket of Fairy Tail figures. "Wow! They were really acurate.. dang, they even got my shorts.. okay this is a little creepy.."

"The company that makes those are proffesionals." said the vendor. "If you want Miss Misaka, you can have this for free!"

The vendor handed Mikoto a Gekota plushy which was wearing Mikoto's usual Fairy Tail t-shirt and a skirt with shorts underneath. It even had a little coin in it's plushy hand plus a little hair clip with a small red faity tail insignia ornament just like the one Mikoto now wore.

Mikoto's jaw dropped. "I-Is this?"

"Yep." said the vendor. "It's part of the limited edition Guild Gekotas. I have 30 Erzas and 20 Natsus, and 17  Lucys and Nicoles. However, this is the last Mikoto one, you're so popular, your Gekota flew off the shelves like wildfire."

"Thanks." Mikoto said. She took the plushy and handed it to Little Lucy whose electric blue eyes lit up.

"It's a Mimmi Gekota!" Little Lucy squealed with delight as she hugged her new toy.

Mikoto smiled. "Come on, we still have a lot to see.."

Mikoto turned only to accidentally bump right into Azure Saphire, whose arms were laden with shopping bags.
