"Would you get out of my way, lazy *sshole?"

I looked down at the steps where Shu was laid out and I furrowed my brows in slight anger at Yuma's words.

"Move man!"

I decided to not interfere and just listen to the encounter.

Shu opened his eyes and looked up at Yuma, and I didn't move so that he wouldn't look at me.

"Don't ever tell me what to do," Shu said in his same sleepy voice.

"Uhh?" Yuma said.

I rolled my eyes at him.

Idiot.

I looked at Shu and he looked up at Yuma as if he was realizing something. "If you wanna get past, nothing's stopping you," Shu said as he closed his eyes again.

I smiled in slight satisfaction that he stood up for himself. Yet again, I didn't expect anything less from a vampire who didn't like the conflict of just about anything.

"Tch," Yuma scoffed as he went over Shu and continued to walk up the stairs.

Shu opened his eyes lightly and looks up at Yuma again.

I questioned whether he knew that Yuma was Edgar or that Edgar was Yuma. I continued my way to my class in thought. It would be an interesting day. I just hoped I didn't have to deal with anything extra. Drama was something I didn't care for and never have. I just wanted relax and everything to be peaceful.

I sighed and entered my class, math. The only reason I went to this class was so I knew what I was doing, yet again. I don't ever pay attention in there either.

I opened the door and felt the fresh air breeze through my long hair. I went to the back side of the entrance of the roof and sat down. I closed my eyes and let myself relax.

"W—Wait! You're hurting me!"

I opened my eyes irritatedly at hearing Yui's voice. I looked to my left and saw Subaru holding Yui's hand tightly.

"Subaru!" she said as Subaru slammed her against the gate.

Another perfect opportunity to just simply eavesdrop when it truly wasn't my business.

Subaru slammed his hands on the fence loudly and Yui flinched and looked up at him.

"Is this what you want?" he asked.

I kept quiet and listened, so many questions running through my head.

"Are you... with them now because that's where you want to be?" I saw his grip tighten on the bars if possible. "Answer me!" he yelled.

"W—W—Well I u—uh.." She fumbled and I rolled my eyes. "I um.." She looked down, defeated.

Did she actually prefer being with the Mukami? Those Mukami were a giant group of brats, only ever criticizing everyone else when they were at most flawed. I shook my head at Yui.

"Hmph.. nothing to say, huh?" he asked.

"Might as well break it to him, Little Maso-Kitty," Kou said out of nowhere.

I glanced at him, wondering when he got there.

Subaru turned around and looked at Kou surprised.

I stopped all movement.

"Kou?" Yui asked.

"So, you honestly want to get her back?" Kou said.

"What?" Subaru asked almost as if Kou was stupid and I stopped my laugh from escaping.

"You're just pissed off because we got your little cupcake," Kou said, standing up.

"Huh? You b*stard," Subaru said angrily.

"Oh, I get it. Is baby Sakamaki in love?" Kou said teasingly.

My eyes went wide.

Did Subaru love Yui...?

"You gotta be kidding," Subaru said.

"You can't lie to me about it, you know? Subaru," Kou said.

I looked down at the floor, understanding what he meant.

"If you want her that bad. Why don't you just come and take her from me?" Kou said as he wrapped his arms around Yui. "...Nothing, huh? Well, so much for love I guess."
