The Talk

The sun finally rising, it's still 6 am, the sun hit Anna face and make her automatically pull up the blanket over her face. She feel so dejected, tired and doesn't want to wake up or do anything for this day, but she is still remember that today is the day for the project winner announcement, so she can't not to go. After 10 minutes she finally sit on her bedroom, she is really look messy, then after 5 minutes she decide to go to bathroom and take a shower.

"Morning mom, morning dad," Anna said after she go down to the kitchen, she walk and kiss her mom then her dad.

"Morning sweetie," her mom smile to her.

"My angel, why do you look so tired?" her dad ask her and little worried about her.

Anna smile before she answer: "Nah, I'm fine dad, just really tired because of the presentation yesterday, also I can't sleep well to think which team going to win the project."

Her dad just nod and smile to her, but deep inside her dad doesn't believe what she said, but still he just let it go, because he doesn't want Anna thinking about it.

"Here your breakfast sweetie," her mom give Anna a plate of sandwich and milk.

Anna say thank you to her mom and start to eat her breakfast, after breakfast she then kiss her parents again and say goodbye because she need to come early to the office. On her way to office Anna sight non-stop, in her mind she doesn't really want to meet with Dave today, she want to avoid him. 30 minutes riding and she finally arrive at the office.

"Hei!" Lisa hit Anna shoulder and Anna jump because shock and surprise. 

"What theee!" Anna almost scream.

Lisa see her face and laugh out loud. She then pinch Anna cheek and say: "Why are you so surprise? It's only me sweetheart."

Anna devastated but then she smile: "Damn you, I almost got a heart attack."

Lisa only grin and she walk together with Anna to the office building. Lisa see Anna face and she can see how tired Anna is, but before she say anything, Anna stop and Lisa bump to her.

"What's wro...?" Lisa want to ask but doesn't finish. She looks at Lisa view and see Dave in front of the elevator.

"Anna, do you want to take the next elevator?" Lisa ask her.

Anna want to nod, but before it happens, Dean come and call both her and Lisa with loud voice, and that make Dave turn around and see her. Anna and Lisa can only swear in their heart for what Dean is doing.

"Girls, let's take the elevator," Dean walk and inarm both Anna and Lisa and drag them towards the elevator.

"Hai Mr Dave, good morning," Dean greet Dave with smile.

"Ah, good morning to you too, isn't this to early for you guys to come for work?" Dave said with smile.

"Oh, we want to discuss something about yesterday presentation and prepare some of our projects," Lisa said.

Dave nod and he see Anna look away and doesn't want to talk or greet him. The elevator then open and 4 of them going up to 8th floor.

"Mr. Dave, I heard you will be our new director in the department, you will replace Mr. Loew? Dean ask.

Dave smile and answer: "Yeah, Mr. Loew want to retiring and enjoy his old days with his wife and families, that's why I'm here."

Anna hear the conversation and just swear in mumbling, only Lisa hear it and she tap Anna shoulder. When they reach the 8th floor, Anna dash out and walk directly to her office, Lisa just let her be, but Dean and Dave seems surprise with it. 

"Well, we will go to our room too now Mr. Dave," Lisa said and pull Dean together with her.

"What happened with Anna? Why is she dash like that and didn't greet Mr. Dave?" Dean ask.

Lisa give him a death glares before answer him: "Are you so stupid, can't you see that Anna want to avoid our new director?"

"But why?" Dean ask again.

"I don't wanna talk about that, you must ask Anna for the reason, if she is willing to let you know that you will be know, but if not, well...just stay like this," Lisa answer him and pat his shoulder. Both of them already stand in front of Anna room, but before they're knocking the room, Anna open it.

"What the h..."Anna surprise to see both Lisa and Dean in front of her room, then she grin and let them enter.

"Do you want to go to somewhere just now?" Lisa ask Anna once their in her room.

"Yeah, to restroom," Anna said and smile.

"Hmm, Anna what happened with you and Mr Dean yesterday? Why you are avoiding him today?" Dean suddenly ask.

Lisa quite surprise with Dean's bold question, but she only can sigh and waiting for Anna answer.

Anna see him and sigh, actually she doesn't want to answer the question but she knows that Dean won't ever give up with his question, if Anna doesn't answer him now, he will keep asking and asking non-stop.

"So...?" Dean waiting for the answer.

"Well, actually our new director was my ex boyfriend from college, we were separated 6 years ago, and just met again yesterday, I didn't know that he is the son of this company owner," Anna say.

Dean quite surprise with the answer, he can't believe it, and ask again: "you're not lying right?"

Anna just shake her head, then she say: "Yesterday when he asked me to follow him to his room, he kissed me, and I slapped him."

Both Lisa and Dean shock, they gaped and suddenly Lisa say: "What?! You slapped him? Our boss?!"

"Wow, I can't believe you did that, but the one that shock me that he kissed you out of nowhere," Dean talk too.

"Anna, when you broke up with him, did you or him say something?"

"Hmm...no, actually we never said anything, once he choosed the project and went, I never contacted him again and changed all my number and email, also I changed all my scheduled in university, so no one of his friends found me," Anna said.

"Well,  that's make an obvious act of him," Dean said.

Anna look confused and then Lisa said to her: "I think, in Mr. Dave mind, he never broke up with you, that you're still his girlfriend, and he want to try to win your heart back and want you to forgive him."

Dean nods, but for Anna that statements really ridiculous, but it's already 6 years, and Dave never look for her, also she never heard any news of Dave.

"That's impossible, he never look for me in this past 6 years, never hear any news. I don't want him to back to me. He just gonna break my heart again," Anna said, her face look sad.

Lisa understand about this things, because Anna once told her the story, that time Anna looked so sad and she was crying, but Lisa knows deep in Anna heart,  Dave still remain there and she still love him.

"I think Anna, you must give him a change to talk," Lisa said and hug her.

Lisa statement keep lingering in her heart and she nod.
