The Rooftop

The winner of the project will be announce after lunch, so after lunch time, all the teams gather at meeting room.

"I hope we win this project, it's gonna be good for us," Lisa said to Anna. 

"We will win this, we are working hard for this project and presentation," Dean said.

"Yeah, every teams did the same thing, but we definitely gonna win this," Anna said with smile.

Finally, there're 5 peoples from board directors come and ready to announce the winner, and Dave include one of them.

"Well, first of all, I want to say thank you for each of you that participated in presentation yesterday for our new project, so let's clap our hand together for it," Dave said and start to claps his hand, and the others following him.

"And now, let's we announce who is going to win this project. After heard and discuss all your presentation yesterday, we already choose 2 teams that will participate in this project. So the first team is Anna team and the second team is Amelie team," Dave said while looking at Anna then to Amelie.

Anna and her team so happy, they're smiling each other, but then Amelie open her mouth and ask: "Sorry sir, can I know, why the board choosing 2 teams instead 1? Because at first we all know that only 1 team going to win."

Hearing the question, Anna just rolling her eyes, but actually she has the same question, she just don't want to ask about it because she try to avoid Dave eyes and everything.

Dave smile and answer: "At first yeah, we only going to choose 1 team, but then our board directors agree to add 1 project again for the another team and the team is your team Amelie, because your team presentation really hit the target."

"What project it is? because the first project that is offering to us is about which kind marketing that we going to use to reach all of customers in all ages," Amelie asking.

"The 2nd project is about how you will approach the conservative customer, and to be honest I really like your presentation about it, because some of our customers are really conservative," Dean answer to Amelie question. Hearing the answer, Amelie just nod, it means she is understand.

"Well, I will let your guys back now, and will inform you when we will start the meeting for the project," Dave said.

After the announcement, all teams back to work again, and when Anna want to leave and passing Dave, Dave hold her arm and whispering: "Meet me at rooftop," then he walk away.

Anna just hold her breathes, she is sighing and back to her room for a while and then going out again, take elevator to the rooftop.

Rooftop

Anna walk our from elevator, she is looking all around but Dave hasn't been there yet, so she walk to the balcony, see the road below, then see the sky. It's a good day actually, not too hot, the clouds dance together with the blue sky, Anna closes her eyes to enjoy it.

"I always love to see you enjoy the nature like this, my heart always in peace when I see you like this," Dave said.

The sudden voice of Dave make Anna turn around, and she can see Dave smile. Actually deep down in her heart, she always miss to see his smile. 

"I know that you always happy to see me like this," Anna said, then she sighs and asked again: "What do you want Dave?"

Dave see her and he can see there's sadness in Anna eyes, he never want to make Anna sad, he always want to make her happy and cherish her, but 6 years ago, he made a choice that change Anna and himself.

"Anna...I know that you don't want to see me or hear my reasons, but please let me explain it," Dean said to Anna.

It's already 6 years, what exactly Dave want to explain, isn't it already clear that he choose to follow what he want, his dream, his goals, left her alone without said goodbye.

"Wh...what do you want to explain after 6 years? There's nothing Dave, there's nothing you need to explain, it's all already in the past, and I don't want to remember it anymore, right now I'm good," Anna said.

"Anna, I..I just...I just want to say sorry for left you without said goodbye, I know that's a selfish decision back then, but I can't lost it, I really need it back then, because I know, it will only came once in my life and after that, I can't get it anymore," Dave try to explain.

Anna just sigh and turn around, looking at front, on the other rooftop, then looking at the sky again, she take a deep breathe, try to hush all sounds, she want to think clearly about what happened 6 years ago. Slowly, she open her eyes and say: "what happened 6 years ago make me realize that no matter how hard I love you, you will still choose your dream." 

"But, I know too that you never want to left me back then, because you always asked Mike to look for me, maybe I was a selfish person too, I cut all of connections between you and me, included all your friends," Anna take her breathe and turn around once again to see Dave in his eyes. 

Dave can see that teary eyes, Anna look so tired, is she tired because of him? Dave move forward to reach Anna and when he already in front of her, he hug her.

"I'm so sorry babe, so sorry because I was so selfish, I'm sorry that I can be with you for all this years, but you must believe that I never ever forget you, that's why I'm back and take the director position, you know that I want to be free from my dad right? But I'm back to him because I know that you're working here," Dave said while hug her.

Anna just stay quite, listen to Dave heartbeat, she know that Dave never lie, she believe him, but still she can make any decision right now, then she slightly push Dave, look into his eyes, and say: "I don't know what to think right now, let me be alone, let me think, don't approach me and don't call me, let's only talk about work, give me time, can you do that?" 

Dave is looking, he take a deep breathe and shrug his shoulder, then say: "okay, I understand. Let's back to work now."

He is walking back to the elevator, and Anna follow him. Dave then get out from the elevator at 8th floor, he smile to Anna, then Anna go down to 6th floor.

Anna back to his room, she take her phone and looking a photo from 6 years ago, a photo of her and Dave.
