What Are We?

Dave bring Anna to his office room, he pull Anna hand and make her sit on the couch, he then take his handkerchief and waste it, after that he take out an ice cube from the small refrigerator in his office, he wrap it, bring it to Anna and compress her cheek. Dave doesn't say anything to Anna, he just keep on taking care Anna swollen cheek.

"Dave, I'm okay, let me do it myself," Anna try to take the handkerchief from Dave.

Dave just hold her hand, he look right into Anna eyes and feel really guilty, Anna can see that too, Dave eyes change and there's only sadness in his eyes.

"Sorry Anna, you shouldn't be treated like this...it's all my fault," Dave murmur to Anna.

"It's okay Dave, it's not your fault that she slapped me, she just can't control her emotion and accept all thing that happened," Anna try to persuade Dave so he can calm down for a bit and she caress Dave face.

Dave keep looking on her then suddenly he kiss Anna. Anna really surprised with Dave action, she try to push Dave, but then she just let him do it. Dave keep deepen his kiss to Anna, hoping Anna will react and yes, Anna then reply back his kiss. It's a long and sweet kiss for both of them, is like their heart become one in that kiss.

"I love you An, please come back, please don't leave me or make a distance from me after this," Dave pleaded in between their kiss.

Anna push him slowly, she is looking at him now, Anna can't say anything right now because she hasn't settle her heart. For sure she is in love with Dave, she doesn't know when she start to loving him again, but maybe all this she never stopped to love him, maybe she just pretending to stop loving him.

"Dave..." Anna can't finish what she want to saying because Dave office phone ring suddenly.

Dave release himself from Anna, then take the phone on his table, and speak: "yes. Oh dad...ah I will go to your room now."

"An, we will talk later, I need to meet my dad now," Dave said after he put down the phone.

Anna nods and say: "it's okay, I will back to my room now. Hmm...text me okay." Anna then leave Dave office, while Dave just sighing and he leave too to meet his dad at 15th floor.

15th floor, Dave Dad Room...

"Hai, dad," Dave greeted his dad.

"Ah Dave, come in," his dad call him and smile.

Dave walk towards his dad and sit on the chair in front of his dad. His dad quite busy, so he wonder why he would call Dave to his room, then he remembered about commotion that cause by Grace, maybe someone already report to him.

"Umm...dad, you want to talk about something?" Dave asked his dad.

His dad look at him for a while, then he said: "what happened Dave? I heard a woman come and hit Ms. Anna because of you."

Dave take a deep breathe, he try to focus then look to his dad: "yeah, I'm really sorry for the commotion that happened dad. Well...that woman is my ex-girlfriend."

His dad looks really surprise with the answer, he cough a little then ask again: "isn't Ms. Anna is you ex? So why...?

"Yes yes, Anna is my ex 6 years ago, but this woman, her name is Grace is my ex from 2 years ago," Dave said before his dad finish to asking. His dad just nod his head, he actually never want to know about his son life or whoever his ex, but because the event that happened today, he realize that he never know anything about Dave. He loves Dave but never know any personal life about his own son, so this thing really surprise him.

"So, why is she suddenly come here and make a commotion like that?" his dad ask again.

"Well...she want to get back with me, but I don't want, because right now I try to get back together with Anna," Dave explained about his situation now.

His dad understand about this, because for Anna case, he already asked Mike for some info, and as Dave best friend, Mike always tell everything to Dave dad including all about Anna. But, his dad still want to ask this things directly to his son.

"Why you don't want to get back with her? You and her only broke up 2 years ago, so your heart supposed to be choose Grace right?" his dad seem curious.

"Sigh...yes it supposed to be like that, but when I saw Anna photo, I realize that my heart only beat for her and I never forget about her, well I try, but it's failed. The reason why me and Grace was in relationship because I saw Anna in her at that time," Dave explained the truth about his and Grace relationship to his dad.

His dad now understand about it. Actually, Dave dad really want his son can get back with Anna since his son told his about Anna, he always pay attention to her and he really like her personality and characters. 

"Well, if you already make a decision then I will support it. I hope you can make your intention really clear to Ms. Anna," he dad tell him. Dave is smiling to his dad, he really happy because he know that he dad give his bless for him and Anna. After that he talk for a while with his dad and go back to his office.

Dave office...

Dave sit on his couch and take his phone, he ask to his secretary to call Anna to his room. 10 minutes later he hear a knock front his office door, Anna open the door a little to pick inside and she see Dave is gesturing her to come in.

"So, what happened? Why do you ask me to come here?" Anna asked.

Dave looking at her for a moment, he then gesturing to Anna to come to his side, Anna just follow his instruction and come to his side. Dave then take Anna hand and pull her a little and make her sat on his lap. Anna feel little flustered with his action, then she is blushing, but she just stay quite.

Dave then put his chin on Anna shoulder and whispering to Anna: "I just got back from my father and told him everything about Grace and you...my father then asked about my decision, and told me to talked with you."

"Uhmm...what kind of decision?" Anna asked, her heart beat so fast.

"Anna, you know how is my heart to you right? How I love you and care for you? I know you want it slowly, but I need to confirm your feeling to me now," Dave said with a hoarse voice, to be honest he is little afraid to ask Anna about this.

Anna slightly turn her head to see Dave face and she can see Dave lips, then nose and eyes. That eyes of Dave always make her heart skip beat. She take a long deep breathe and then say: "what do you want to know exactly?"

Dave now press a light kiss on her cheek, and make Anna blush again, then Dave say: "What exactly are we now? Because for this couple days you keep comforting me, let me hug you, and kiss you."

Anna can't answer him directly now, she love Dave, but right now she can't give him a definite answer for his question. Too many to think, too many to feel and too many to understand. Anna want to stand up from Dave lap, but Dave hold her waist tightly, prevent her to stand up.

"Dave, I'm sorry, I can't answer you right now, I'm sorry if I make you confused with my actions for this couple of days, but please give me time to think straightly now," Anna finally said the answer.

After hear the answer, Dave let go Anna. Anna then stand up and out form his room. It's already 5 PM and Dave feel so sad, he is crying, and feel really hurt because of Anna answer. On the other side, Anna feel the same too, but she can't do anything  right now.
