C H A P T E R 2 3
CAMILA FELT CALM after a really long while. She didn't want to stay anymore, she knew that, so why wait for some reason when she could leave? That was exactly what she had done.
She made a list of all the places that Noah had ever wanted to go no matter how much it might hurt. She left as fast as she could.
The calming lull of the waves against the ship broke her train of thoughts. This cruise which goes on the Mediterranean was something both of them had dreamed about. But standing right here, as the wind whistled past her and looking at the sun rays glittering on the ocean, it hit her again. Her brother wasn't coming back and all she had were broken relationships.
But maybe she shouldn't have left that abruptly. This was the most dramatic breakup she had ever gone through. Maybe Draco and her could have patched up again. They could have gone forward and maybe been happier they were. Maybe he had come back to ask her why and fight for her love but she had already left.
There was no point in mulling over this cause she was gone and all she had left was a stupid letter. She hoped Draco read the letter she had written and understood why she had to do this. Otherwise her whole plan was going to fall apart.
It wasn't much of a plan, but leaving the cafe under Draco's care as an apology seemed dumb now. She should have told Jake or Amy to take care of the cafe and just let Draco hate her until the end of time. Which idiot even gives the person they break up with ownership of a cafe as an apology gift?
She had to forget about all that she had left behind and focus on herself and healing from all the hurting she had undergone. All that mattered to her now was coming closer to accepting her brother's death. However long it might take, she was only going back if she felt she had healed from all the heartbreak she had undergone.
