Chapter 10
Aiden's POV
After dropping Scarlet off, I couldn't help but wonder why my beautiful girlfriend needed to be home by 8. By the time I got down to my car, my happy mood was dampened with a pounding headache from my Alpha trying to reach me.
Aiden, there is a rogue trailing the border, and I trust YOU to make the plan, said my Alpha.
Do we know who he is? I asked, so not happy that I was gonna have to deal with this even though my girlfriend, shit, does she know she's my girlfriend?!?!?
No, but he's powerful. My Alpha answered after hesitation.
Just then Scarlet walked out of her building looking very dressed up. I stepped out of the car and snuck up behind her. When I got close enough, I pulled her back into my chest and wrapped her into a bear hug.
"Baby, I missed you," I whispered, making her nod in agreement, biting her lip.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked, but in a manly, sexy way, of course. She turned around and put her arms around my neck and kissed me to answer yes. I picked her up and continued kissing her until she pulled away.
"Aiden, I really do have to go," she pouted. I nodded, kissed her again and let her walk off.
I left my car where it was and decided to run home to burn off the energy I get from being around my mate. I stripped throwing my clothes in the car and shifting into my wolf. Deciding on getting a head start on the pack business, I trailed the border seeing if I could pick up on a scent. If I knew whatever backaround this rogue had, I could try to teach the pups certain techniques.
I finally picked up on a familiar scent, one that was frequently rubbed onto Scarlet....
