-Luke-

Seeing Mackenzie lying there like that sent my body into panic. I pulled out my phone to ring an ambulance. The ringing of the phone went through and a voice picked up. "Hello, emergency please?" Female voice said

"My girlfriend has just been hit by a car" I said shaky voice and strain in my voice. The phone line was silent then I heard the voice say "Okay stay calm please sir, has the patient got a pulse?" I quickly felt for a pulse, I felt a slight throbbing pulse on her wrist. "Yes she does but its not very big and its slow" I said truing to hold back my tears. The voice on the phone sounded a little concerned "Alright an ambulance will be there straight away please stay with the patient and talk to her" I nodded to myself "Okay" I said through the phone. I told them where we were and then hung up waiting for the ambulance. I looked Mackenzie in the eyes and held her hand "Remember when we were just over there on that bench and you said you loved me? Well that made me realise how lucky I am to have you" A tear rolled down my face and then I heard the siren of an ambulance coming around the corner. The ambulance pulled over and a man got out of the drivers side and ran up the me and mackenzie. "Grab a stretcher" he said to the lady who go out of the truck with him. "I am Alan, how long has she been here?" the ambulance driver asked. I let go of Mackenzie's hand as the lady came over with the stretcher "Uh about 15 minutes" I replied backing away as they starting putting her onto the stretcher. "Alright we will take her to the hospital right now" I looked at the women it was Calum's sisters best friend.

"Luke hi"

"Look after her please Caroline, she is my world" I said looking her in the eyes, she looked as though she was about to cry. "I will do everything we can, you go home and tell they boy get dressed and grab some of Mackenzie's clothes and meet us at the hospital" I nodded watching them put her into the back of the ambulance. I looked at her one last time before they shut the doors.

I ran towards home. My heart beating 100 miles. I tried to fight back the tears. As I reached the house I got inside and the boys saw me they all stood in the kitchen making breakfast. Calum looked me in the eyes noticing how upset I looked "Whats happened man?" Concern appeared across all of their faces. I swallowed "Mackenzie got hit by a car and is on the way to the hospital with Caroline and some man called alan" The boys looked shocked.

"Okay slow down" Ashton said dropping his toast.

"I don't have time I need to get some clothes and get myself to the hospital"

Michael stopped me "Your not driving in this state, ill drive. Calum go get some clothes for Mackenzie" Michael put a hand on my shoulder looked me in the eyes and told me to go get dressed.

Once I had gotten dressed we all go into the car and headed to the hospital.

"She will be okay Luke, think positive" Ashton said from the back seat. I nodded hoping she will be. I looked ahead and held back my tears.

"A morning run, thats all we were doing. I had just told her about us buying the house. She felt so guilty no putting any money towards it" Michael nodded sincerely from the drivers seat looking at me.

"Racing home what a stupid idea, she didn't look. I called her name. Then that was it" I said kicking the ground of the car in front of me. Everyone was silent. Calum looked at me from the back seat "Don't blame yourself. She is a strong person, shell get through it." Thats what he didn't know though we didn't know if she was alright. I nodded trying to seem okay, when really I wasn't. I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. I grabbed it quickly looking at the screen 'Mum' why would she be calling? I answered it "Hello"

"Luke I heard about Mackenzie, shell be alright honey. Stay strong" I nodded

"Thanks for the support Mum" Mum took a deep breath "Well I have to go now but Ill call you later okay"

"Okay, I love you"

"I love you to Luke" I put my phone away and looked up and noticed we were pulling into the hospital. So many thoughts ran through my head. But the most important one was I must get to Mackenzie...
