The long way home

"Hey Mackenzie" Calum said as I got outside "Hey Calum, Ashton and Michael is it?" I said trying to remember. Michael smiled "Yup Michael" He said he seemed happy by me just remembering his name. I was proud of myself for remembering his name. Luke smiled "You remembered" I nodded laughing. Luke grabbed me around the hips and hugged me close. "Get a room you two" Ashton joked hitting Luke in the head lightly as he walked past. Luke laughed and kicked him in the shin. Ashton clutched his shin pretending to be in terrible pain, a nurse walked past and we all stood there seriously and quietly. When she disappeared into the room I had been in we all stood there and laughed our heads off. Calum stood there with a serious face "Immature guys, that old lady thought we were doing very naughty things. Im disappointed in you all" Calum's serious face quickly turned into a big grin, he stood there and laughed like a crazy person. "Right" The Michael guy laughed "Should we get going?" I nodded "Im sick of this place already" Everyone laughed, Luke held my bag in one hand and my hand in the other.

We walked through the carpark, it felt so good to finally breath in fresh air. The car park smelt of oil and sound buzzed with cars reversing and parking everywhere. The sounds sent a shiver through my spine. Luke looked at me "You okay?" I smiled slightly "Yeah, just a bit cautious with all the cars everywhere" Luke nodded and squeezed my hand. I felt safe his hand holding mine "Don't worry babe, Ill never let anything like that ever happen to you again" I smiled, Luke must have got a big shock when it all happened. I feel so horrible, what happened if I. Died?. What would he be like? He would be a mess. Well I don't want to think about that because that luckily it didn't happen. And I never want to scare him like that again, it was stupid for me to run without looking. But mistakes happen and some you cant take back. I smile thinking how lucky I am to be here right now.

We arrive at the car after a walk that felt like forever. Luke put my bag into the boot of the car "Do you want me to drive and you sit in the passengers seat?" Luke asked slamming the boot of the car shut with a thud. I smiled "Okay" He quickly ran around to the passengers side and opened the door for me "You don't have to do all of this fussing" I said walking over to Luke, he stood and grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes "Yes I will fuss all I want!" He said pushing his forehead against mine and the tip of his nose touching mine. I let out a little laugh and he laid a soft kiss on my lips. I smiled he looked me in the eyes "I love you Mackenzie Jones!" He whispered and smiled "I love you to Luke-" I forgot his last name. Shit. He looked at me concerned "Whats wrong?" he said holding my hands even tighter. I bit my lip "You want like to here what I have to say" He laid his hand on my cheek his soft hand rubbing against my skin "What is it?" He said looking at me ""Hurry up love birds!" Ashton called from the back seat, Michael hit ashton in the shoulder "Shut up, cant you see they are having a moment. Carry on you two" Michael said putting his head in his hand watching us like we were a couple in a movie. Luke's hand intertwined with mine, I smiled rubbing his hand against my shoulder "It doesn't matter" I say hooping into the front seat "Are you sure?" Luke said leaning in the door "Im sure Luke" I said grabbing my seat belt and buckling up. "Okay Mackenzie" He said laughing running around to the drivers side. He hooped in the car and started the engine. The radio started playing "Turn it up!" Calum called from the back seat. I turned the volume up and listened to the song. What song is this? I wondered I have never heard it before. I laughed at myself in my head, what its just a song.

As we drove in silence Ashton said "Do you wanna play a game?" I thought about it. No I didn't really want to, my head was hurting a bit. "No thanks I think I might just have a little rest" Luke smiled "Okay, its a long way home so that will be a good for you to have a rest" I looked at the time 5:36. Woah time flys! I quickly felt my head getting lighter and lighter. The next thing I knew I was asleep.

I woke up and slowly opened my eyes. I looked around, thinking where we were. "Hey beautiful" Luke smiled "Hey babe, whats the time?" Luke looked at the time on his watch and replied "6:54, the boys are all asleep too" I turned around to see them all leaning on each other. They all looked so innocent when they were sleeping. I smiled. "Babe you know before at the hospital" Luke nodded looking at the road ahead "Well... I kind of forgot your last name" I said slowly looking at him. He smiled a dimple of his check "Hemmings, thats my last name. Don't worry about it babe. The nurse said it will take time" I smiled the name rung a bell. I looked at the road ahead and Luke pulled down a long driveway. We were back at the boys place. As we drove down the driveway I looked at the house appearing through the bushes. Luke parked the car and the boys in the back jolted forward. They all woke up weary eyed looking like zombies. I got out of the car and looked at the big house that stood in front if me. Luke grabbed my bag from the boot and stood next to me looking at the house "Home" He whispered in my ear kissing me cheek. Home I thought to myself.
