Space

I sit on the sand for a long time. I hear my phone ring. It is from an unknown number. I pick it up swallowing back my tears "Where are you Mackenzie?" The panic in Michaels voice scares me "Im so sorry. I am at the beach. I shouldn't have run off" I say balling tears out of my eyes. I hear Michael hushing me "Don't worry Mackenzie at least you are safe. I will come get you" He says. Calum has the car keys. I smile slightly "Okay" I can feel the warmth of his smile through the phone "Don't move" He says briskly hanging up the phone. I sit and look out to the ocean. I wish I could jump into the ocean and swim away from all of this. I hear the movement of feet behind me. I turn around and see Michael. He runs and sits down next to me. He looks at me "Why did you run off like that?" Michaels asks his feet sinking into the sand his hands resting on his knees. "I need to leave. I don't want to see Luke ever again" I say breaking down into tears. Michael wraps his arm around his shoulder I rest my head on his chest. "You must tell him how you feel first" Michaels says rubbing my shoulder. I nod "I cant even think about -" I stop the thought sickens me. Michael hushes me. I look at the ocean "Don't you dare run away without telling him how he has made you feel" Michael grabs his phone out of his pocket. It is vibrating he answers it "Hello" He looks at me and mouths its Luke. I look at the ground and blink back tears. I stand up and start walking while Michael says something into his phone. Michael runs up behind me "Lets go give Luke a piece of your mind" I smile a little "I wish it would be easy" Michael looks at me and smiles a little "He hurt you and he is not getting away with it" I smile and hug him "Thank you for being such a great friend" Michael hugs me back "You are amazing Mackenzie"

We get into the car, Calum is in the back and Ashton is in the front. I smile faintly when I get in the back seat. Calum smiles a small smile. Michael explains to them about the call. I look at the window the whole time at the beach disappearing out of sight. Something hit me. "I cant" I say looking at Calum. "This is going to ruin your friendship with Luke" I say shaking my head. Calum smiles "He did a horrible thing he must pay the price" I look at him. "No, you have been friends for so long and I have ruined it" Calum grabs my hand which is shaking in fear. "Don't you dare say that Luke lied not you" He says his eyes glistening.

We arrived at the house, we get out of the car and Michael hands me the car keys. I smile "Thank you" He smiles "Im here for you" He says grabbing my hand and holding it tightly. Ashton opens the door and Luke stands up from the chair he was sitting on. He sees me and runs up to me "Mackenzie where have you been" I push away slowly. "Who is she?" I ask Calum and Ashton walking over to the kitchen, Michael standing next to me. Luke shakes his head acting stupid like he doesn't know what I am talking about "Who?" I fight back the millions of tears that I want to let run down my face, I have done to much crying for one day. "The girl you were with at the mall" Luke try's to grab my hand but I move it away quickly. His eyes quivering "Im sorry" He says. I move away from him. "Who is she?" I scream. He looks at Michael who is standing next to me. "Answer the question" Michael says grabbing my hand and looking Luke in the eye. Luke looks at me his eyes beading. "Please just let me explain this to you by yourself" He says. Michael looks at me, I nod. "We will be outside by the pool if you need us" He says pressing his lips together walking outside. Luke speaks first. I sit down on the couch. He sits next to me. I move away quickly. "Im sorry Mackenzie" He says looking at me guilt in his eyes. I shake my head "Just tell me what I want to here" I say holding my keys tightly. He looks me in the eyes un sure what to say. "How long has this been going on?" I say folding my arms. Luke looks down at his feet "2 weeks" He says rubbing his hand threw his hair. I shake my head in disappointment. "Whats her name" I ask quietly in disgust. "Ashley" He replies slowly. I take a deep breath "Have you kissed" I ask the question felt like I was stabbing myself. He didn't answer. "Have you kissed" I ask again this time it hurt even more to ask.He nods his head. I look away in disgust. "Did you really love me?" I ask, Luke looked up slowly his eyes blood shot. "Yes" He says standing up trying to hold my hand. "Then why did you do it?" I ask a tear rolling down my face. He looks away. "I -" He stops and looks at his feet, he quickly grabs my hand and looks me in the eye. "I love you and only you cant you see that" I let go of this hand. "And thats why you cheated on me" I say turning away making my way outside. Luke follows me "Stay here" I say in a stern voice. He stays inside while I go outside and tell the boys what I have decided. They aren't going to like it.

I nearly cried writing this :( I hope I didn't make anyone cry. There is only a couple more chapters after this but they will be good ones I promise. I also don't know if I should do a sequel, tell me what you think. I don't really want the book to end but the way the story line is going it has to eventually. So hope for a sequel if you liked this one a lot!
