I start running into the hospital the boys following me. "Dude slow down!" Ashton calls, you look behind you "No I have to see her" I say picking up speed. I feel Calum right next to me. We slow down as we enter the building. "Wheres the reception?" I say stopping looking around frantically. Calum puts his hand on my shoulder "Dude, you need to take a minute"
"No I have to see her!" Looking around. Michael and Ashton finally catch up, Michael looks at you "Well? Lets go see her!" Michael and I start walking for the reception. Calum and Ashton walking behind mumbling to each other something which I don't want to here.We finally spot the reception. Ashton runs up to me "Ill ask, you sit here" pointing to the cold grey seats set out in rows. I can see Ashton talking to the lady at the reception, the lady is nodding and typing something into her computer. After a few minutes Ashton smiles and starts walking away from the desk making his way back towards me and the guys. "Well she is in room 126 upstairs" I stand up starting to walk towards the room, I look behind me no one else moves "You go, well be up there soon" Ashton says nodding. I cant face her by yourself "Calum can you come please? I need the support, I cant face her on my own" I say a tear rolling down my face. Calum stands up "Sure, Ill come" Calum nods compassionately. We both make our way up the stairs slowly, I stumbled a couple of times. But I knew it was only going to be good or bad news with Mackenzie. We finally reach room 126. My bones go cold as I see Mackenzie lying there, tubes coming out of her. A white piece of material around her head. I take a deep breath and open the door slowly. Caroline looks up and smiles "Luke your here, Hi Calum!" She says carry a tray of needles and scissors. I nod and make my way over to Mackenzie. "How is she?" I hear Calum asking Caroline. Caroline smiles no negative vibes in her voice "At this stage she is perfectly normal, just some minor injuries. But we just need to keep an eye on her" Calum nods "Thank you for taking care of her" I say putting my hand on Mackenzie's. "No worries, shes a strong girl" She says smiling and walking towards the door. "Ill leave you to it" She says "Ill come to" Calum says. I smile weakly and nod towards Calum who meets with Ashton and Michael and they sit in the chairs outside the door. " I love you so much, you are my everything" I whisper to her touching her cold white hand. "You know, you were so excited about moving in" I laugh a little "And you wanted to race, if I just let you win you wouldn't be here" I brush my hands through my hair, moaning to myself. And hating myself so much kicking the ground beneath me. Michael comes rushing in the door "Everything okay?" He asks panic rushing through him. "Yeah" I nod rubbing the tears from my face. Michael nods "Shes a strong girl" He says sitting on the other side of the room.
Michael and I talked for a bit then everything went silent. Calum and ashton came in the room. "Hows everything?' Ashton asks taking a seat with Michael. I nod "Good I think she will be okay, but Im not a doctor" I joke the boys laughing. "No none of us are. No career in Medicine for us singers" Calum jokes standing next to me. We all sit in silence, Looking at Mackenzie. Everything about that moment being with friends was perfect, knowing Mackenzie was going to be okay until...
