Amnesia | Luke Hemmings

An unexpected sight

Michael and I walk across the car park. I see a tall blonde boy walking into the mall. It looked so much like Luke, he held a girl with long brown hairs hand. I look as they come closer. It was Luke. He was with another girl. I brake down. A tear rolls down my face. How can he do this to me after everything I have been through recently. All the times he said he loved me, where they just lies?Michael stops "Whats wrong" He sees Luke and stops. His face pale "Who is she?" He asks looking at me crying. I shrug "I don't know" He hugs me tight "Lets get you back to our place" I sniff and wipe my eyes the tears sting. I nod and watch him and that girl laughing together holding hands walking into the mall. I drove slowly back to the boys place "How could he do this?" I ask Michael who sat in silence with a look of disgust on his face. He shakes his head "I didn't even know about this. How could he do this to you it is disgusting!" I shake my head tears streaming down my face "I am not staying in the same house as him" Michael nods "I understand. You shouldn't have to" Michael is the only person I have right now. I don't want to lose him. He understands me so well. Not many people I have meet are as nice as Michael.We pull down the driveway. I sit in the car for a few minutes after. I leave my bag in the car. I go inside and Calum runs up to me. Michael must have told him everything. Calum hugs me tightly "I am sorry. I had no idea" I smile at him with tears in my eyes "I know. I trusted him" He hugs me again. Why is everything falling apart. Ashton sat on the couch. He doesn't look at me. Did he know something I didn't? He sat frozen like ice. His lips quivering."I am not going to stay with you guys" I say moving away from Calum. Ashton stands up quickly braking down into tears "I knew! I heard them on the phone together one night. I kept my mouth shut, but now I wish I hadn't" Ashton raised his voice choking on his own words.He sat on the edge of the couch. "Im sorry Mackenzie" He says looking up, blood shot eyes, tears streaming down his face. I walk over to him and sit next to him "You did the right thing not telling me, I would have found out anyway" I say putting my arm around Ashton's shoulder. He looks me in the eye, tears filled his "I am truly sorry" I nod, I know he is. I have lost the most important boys in my life. My father and boyfriend. I don't understand anymore. I stand up and grab my keys. "I am going to find a motel to stay in" Calum nods "Ill come with you" I smile "Okay" Ashton looks at me as we leave "I am truly sorry" He says. I nod, I know he is sorry, he wouldn't have found the courage to tell me something like this. How is Luke going to react when he finds out I know? He did wrong not me so I don't care how he reacts. I need to forget about him.

Calum and I drive slowly. Calum drove the car he said I was in to much of a mess to drive. I agreed with him so I let him drive. We get to a nice little motel. We go into the reception and the lady greets us with a big smile. "Hello there" She says sitting up smiling. I smile slightly "Um do you have any single rooms available?" I ask fighting back my tears. She taps some stuff into her computer "We sure do" She says "But don't you want a double room?" She asks nodding towards Calum who is looking at brochures. I shake my head "Oh we aren't-you know" She looks shocked "Oh I am sorry I didn't mean to be noisy" I smile "Don't worry about it" I say looking at her getting my money out. She smiles "You would be a cute couple though" She says getting a room key. I push my lips together and smile a little. I would NEVER like Calum in that way. Calum makes his way over to us. "Name please?" The lady smiles at me. I giggled a little "Ah Mackenzie Jones" She smiles "I knew your mother" She said with empathy "Im sorry about your lose" I nod "Thanks" She smiles "She was an amazing lady"
"She was" I smile thinking of how truly amazing my mother was. "Your stay is on the house" The lady with a name badge 'Kate' gives me my key. I smile "Thank you so much" She smiles "Anytime love. If you need anything just ask" I smile and nod. Calum and I walk up a set of stairs and find room 26. I unlock the door slowly. I look at the beautiful room "This is amazing" I say looking at the view. "It is" Calum nods making his way to the window and looking at the amazing view "I might get myself a room next door" He jokes. I sit on the bed "Do I really have to face Luke? Cant I just run now while he knows I don't know?" Calum sits down next to me. "I wish it was that easy but you need to tell him how you feel" I smile a little. I swallow "I cant face him. Thinking of all the times he would have been with that girl and them touching" I say the thought making me want to be sick a shiver going down my spine.I shake my head "I cant" Calum stands up. He grabs my hand "Lets go" He says walking me out of the room the door locking as I shut it. "Where are we going?" I say following him in confusion "You are going to have some fun" I smile "Lets go then" I say running Calum following laughing. This 'surprise' will help me take my mind off of things for the mean time. But not forever.
