When Jungkook got back to band's apartment he just went straight to his room, he wouldn't talk about it with anyone. Even Jimin. He just focused on practicing for the tour and working. When he wasn't doing that he was playing computer games.
He didn't know what to think. He didn't know how to process what had happened. Thankfully, they left Korea a couple days later so at least he had space. But....what to think? At night, even when he tried his hardest, he would wake up all hot and sweaty, memories of her taste on his lips.
He had had many opportunities in life, all of which he was grateful for, but some of them had involved sacrifice. And the top thing to sacrifice? Romantic relationships. An easily flustered flirt like himself who had started out so young and gotten famous so quickly...there had never been any chance of something other than his hand.
And now it had been within his grasp. Every fantasy he'd ever had just waiting to come true.
He had to stop thinking like this. He knew he never had to see her again if he didn't want to. They'd just stay married, Bang PD eventually find a way to get them divorced without exposing his father's secret, but as awkward and anxious as Jungkook felt he really didn't want it to be like that. He wouldn't even be able to look her in the eye but he felt....shouldn't a husband and wife be friends? When he pictured it in his head that's what he saw. A best friend he could tell anything to, who'd be there for him. He was embarrassed but he didn't want to never see her again.
The other members waited patiently for him to sort his feelings out and come to them. They didn't know what had happened but Jungkook's extremely quiet, withdrawn state concerned them.
So it was with great relief a week after they left Korea that Namjoon opened the door to his hotel room and let Jungkook in.
"You want to talk about it?" Jungkook took a seat on the bed and nodded, not looking his leader in the eye. Namjoon had his recording equipment set up on the desk across from the bed and he took a seat in the chair, across from the maknae. He waited but Jungkook said nothing, just fidgeted with his fingers.
"What happened?" Jungkook flushed, which surprised Namjoon. Jungkook covered his face with his hands and let out a loud groan before flopping back onto the bed.
"We had to convince them the relationship was real and she kissed me, hyung. And I completely lost it." He finally whispered, not believing the words leaving his mouth.
"She kissed you?"
"And straddled me and threatened to have sex with me on the table if the Dispatch guy's daughter didn't leave me alone." Jungkook was bright red now, thinking back to that night. "And when we left she did it again and I...." He gulped. "I liked it, I kept doing it, I wanted more." He groaned again. "I didn't know I could make those sounds....in front of frickin' everybody....I feel so embarrassed, hyung." He whined while Namjoon bit his lip, trying not to smile. In Jungkook's position he would probably feel the same way but he had to admit it was a little funny to see his inexperienced dongsaeng so flustered.
"Wow....um...wow." Namjoon finally managed. He'd suspected that there may've been a kiss but this was far beyond what he'd guessed.
"Yeah. Hyung, she's so beautiful. I keep...I keep dreaming about her..." Jungkook hesitated. "I never want to see her again, I don't want her to look at me and remember everything but....I also want to see her again. It feels kind of weird to be married to someone and know nothing about them. I didn't want to look at the file, it makes me feel everything all over again. But how can I talk to her and look her in the eye when I feel like this...gah!" Jungkook kicked his legs in frustration. Namjoon moved from the chair to the bed, laying down next to his embarrassed bandmate.
"Maybe....let's start by looking at her file. I think that will help you clear your head."
"You think so?" Jungkook's voice had a tiny amount of hope in it. "I'll go get it." He said, sitting up.

Jungkook's hope quickly died as they spread the file out on the bed and Namjoon took the lead in examining its contents, curious about this woman who was now so intimately tied to his band. His eyebrows shot up when he saw her picture. She was gorgeous, her lips spread in a beautiful smile. She had kissed Jungkook? He looked up but Jungkook was pointedly not looking at the photo. He set it aside.
The more Namjoon read out loud the more Jungkook felt his heart sink. The woman could speak three languages, she had a wide range of interests and hobbies, she was well-educated and well-traveled. Jungkook knew there wasn't anything wrong with him. He studied English, he'd traveled a lot, he was a good performer, he liked drawing, and he liked gaming. But....they didn't really seem all that compatible to him. She was like this elegant fairy and he was....
"Anyone would be lucky to have you, Jungkook." Namjoon said quietly, reading the younger's mind.
"Hyung, we don't have anything in common. How are we supposed to talk to each other?"
"You want to talk to her?" Jungkook looked down and nodded slowly.
"I think so, I mean....I'm married to her. I don't want to be married to someone and not be friends. But I don't know how I can ever look her in the eyes again...."
"She seems like a nice person, Jungkook. Maybe just take it one step at a time. See her when you get back. What you experienced was normal. She's an attractive woman and she threw herself on you. Don't let your hormones make you feel embarrassed."
"God, hyung."

For Y/N's part, she still couldn't believe she'd done that. She avoided men as much as possible, like the plague, and she had no idea where that self-confidence came from. Maybe it was because she'd realized Jungkook was as nervous as she was. That one of them had to step up and take charge of selling this lie. For all her flaws, she was a woman of action when one was needed.
She couldn't deny, she'd enjoyed it. She enjoyed probably being the one person in the world to touch someone so famous like that. It had boosted her ego, his reaction. And a part of her had wanted to not stop, the carnal, more physical part of her.
But her head reminded her that it was over. They may be married but that was it. They both led separate lives. She worked her 9 to 5, going to work and coming home. She loved her job, she loved teaching the kids. She was proud of the fact that she could support herself. But it was a far cry from Jungkook's world, where women threw themselves at him. Where he was known all over the world.
She decided to pretend like it hadn't happened, because it might as well have not.
Which is why she was surprised when she got the text.
