In a way, Bang PD felt sorry for the woman about to walk into his office. This was not what she had signed up for. It wasn't what he'd intended to sign her up for. But his hands were tied and this was the only piece he had to maneuver. If he had the piece. He couldn't do anything till she agreed.

"Come in, come in." She shook his hand and bowed slightly before taking a seat in front of his desk. He was sure she was surprised. He'd been very careful when he'd put the job ad out. Every applicant was screened and none had known the tutoring job was for one of the seven most famous men in Korea. The woman sitting in front of him had literally found out when she'd received the information email, after signing a confidentiality agreement for this part of the process. She and six others, all men, were the only ones who Bang PD had felt might be okay to be around his boys. Their social media, friends' social medias, backgrounds, every little secret had been pulled out and examined. While in theory he was being fair to both genders, in actuality he had been shocked when the woman had made it past all his rigorous checks. It was mostly women who applied and every single one of them had been the kind of woman he did not want around the band.

And now, she was in the running for a different kind of job without realizing it. And he wasn't sure how to break it to her.

"So..." He cleared his throat. "I'm afraid there's been a change of plans that I have to inform you of. I would like to remind you that you have signed a confidentiality agreement so none of this can leave this room." She cocked an eyebrow but said nothing, leaning forward slightly. "As you may have noticed in the email you received the original job was to tutor a member of BTS in the English language. Give them conversation practice, you know the drill, it's your speciality." He cleared his throat again. "However you are no longer being considered for that position." She sat back, eyebrows furrowed, eyeing him in confusion.

"So....why am I here then...."

"Because I need you for something else." He took a deep breath. "I need you to marry Jeon Jungkook."

There was dead silence in the room for several, looooooooong seconds. You could've heard a ghost butterfly's wings bat. Her facial expression didn't change but her tone did.

"Maybe you don't realize it, sir..." Her "sir" came out like a knife, it sounded like she would've used the word to stab him if she could. "...but it is incredibly insulting for an educated, intelligent woman such as myself to attend a job interview and basically be told she is only eligible to be considered as a fuckmate for some horny kid." She stood up, her jaw clenched. "I'll see myself out. Thank you for your non-consideration." Bang PD blinked, his mind scrambling to catch up with her words.

While there was a reason she had gotten this far, he still hadn't expected any woman to outright reject the idea of being married to a member of BTS.

"No, wait!" He jumped up, coming around the desk. "Please, it is not that at all. Just give me a chance to explain it to you." He was desperate, he didn't care how unbecoming of the top world band's father-figure it was. He would beg if he had to.

She stopped, her hand on the door handle, back still turned. She didn't know why, maybe it was the pleading sound in his voice, but she did something she normally wouldn't have. She stood there and didn't flip him off.

"You have one minute to convince me that this wasn't a huge insult." Her voice was clipped and she didn't move from the door. It would be more comfortable for him if she sat down but she wasn't going to make this easy. He had to earn her trust. He hated this feeling, this feeling of begging.

"There's a man, he is high-level in Dispatch. You know them, right?"

"Yes." He wasn't doing a good job of convincing her, she'd just taken that as an insult to her intelligence.

"Jungkook's father made a mistake years ago. This man has the information on it. He contacted me to let me know there's one thing I could do to keep it from being released to the public. Jungkook talked it over with his parents and he really doesn't want it going public. It wouldn't hurt him but he's a good son in that way so he's agreed to cooperate."

"That's all nice and interesting but what does it have to do with me?" She was impatient.

"The man has a daughter. He sent me a contract. If Jungkook marries then this man won't release the information. He has a daughter, I've looked into her and she's obsessed with Jungkook."

"So....." For the first time she looked back at him with confusion written on her face. "....my question remains. What does this have to do with me?"

"He didn't specify that Jungkook has to marry her in the contract." She blinked at him. And blinked again. Her tongue came out to touch her top lip as her mind turned this around inside itself. Her fingers loosened slightly on the doorknob.

"So.....he's assuming you'll go for the daughter?"

"We have an appointment tomorrow to meet and my sources tell me the daughter will be there. I think he thinks I'll jump at the chance for Jungkook to have her." She bit her bottom lip, looking away.

"You want him married when he walks into that meeting." It relieved him slightly that she was following his train of thought. That she could hopefully understand his desperation at, if he must do it, finding Jungkook someone who wouldn't make his life miserable.

"Yes. If he wants to keep his father's mistake a secret he has to marry. If he has to marry I don't want it to be someone we'll all regret. You're the decent option here." She had been looking at him but she looked down at those words.

"I'm sorry Mr. Bang. I really am. The situation sounds horrible and I apologize for assuming the worst of you earlier. But.....I guess it gives you a good example of why this is a bad idea. I'm sorry but I cannot accept your proposal." She looked back up, her mouth in a firm line.

He still couldn't believe it. Someone rejecting the chance to marry Jeon Jungkook?

"Can I....ask why?" He had to convince her.

"I don't like marriage. Or....I guess let me phrase it another way." Her eyes turned hard and her next words were venomous. "I fucking hate marriage." He took a step closer. Must convince her.

"Ms. Y/LN. Whatever you want, whatever you desire, just name your price. Anything. I don't have any other options."

"You need to find someone else."

"There isn't anyone. I've looked into you, I've had my best people look into you. You're what I need right now." She gave him a sad look.

"If your investigations made you think that then you didn't conduct them thoroughly enough. I'm sorry, sir." She said firmly.
