Colson POV
Mil had fallen asleep, her legs tangled with mine, her tiny hand placed just above my belly button. A soft knocking made my eyes dart the the opening door.
"Aye Bro, how is she?" Rook stood in the doorway, his eyes landing on Mil's sleeping body. "She seemed pretty shaken down at the shop." I looked down at her, for the first time since she heard the news she was peaceful, relaxed. He tiny hand softly keeping me in place.
"She's better than we anticipated. Only one and half bottles of Henny and asleep by 4am. I'd say she's doing fine considering." Rook chuckled slightly, his face still scrunched as if he was trying not to say something. "Rookie, what is it?" I asked softly, placing my hand on Mil's, wanting her to stay in her peaceful state.
"Banks is here." His voice was barely above a whisper, not wanting to disturb Mil. My heart stopped as anger flooded my body. I sat up, sending Mil in the other direction, soft whimpers escaping her mouth. "He's outside, hasn't moved much. Just stays in front of the porch, watching." My body shook with anger as I tugged on a pair of sweats, jumping out of the bed.
"You stay with her. Don't you leave this fucking room and don't wake her." I hissed as I bounded down the stairs, seeing Slim standing at the door. "Where's Sloan?" I barked just as her tall figure came into sight.
"I went to lock the back door, is Mil's window locked? Banks knew about her window." I ran a hand through my hair, my whole mind filled with all the ways to hurt the man who was dead set on scaring my Princess.
"Kells, there's someone else with him." My eyes darted to the door, where two figures stood. Banks and-
"Jackson?" Sloan gasped as she stepped away from the door. "What the actual fuck is even happening at this point." Sloan shook her head as she paced the entryway. "We were just fucking normal kids!" She breathed out as Slim went to her side.
"Go upstairs with Rook and Mil, stay with them. Try to breathe Baby Girl." She peaked up at him, his eyes softening as he watched her.
"Okay." Her voice was meek, a thing I'd never seen from Sloan. Before anyone could say another word, Sloan vanished up the stairs.
"What the fuck are we going to do?" Slim asked, his body tense knowing the two women upstairs didn't deserve this.
"We can't go looking for a fight, I'd rather not get my ass kicked by my 5 foot tall Princess." I felt my lips tug upward just thinking about her. She didn't deserve this, she deserved the whole world. She was so protective, she would fight until she was bloody for me. She was so fucking strong and so kind, no matter what she faced.
"Kells, look." Slim stopped me, my eyes landing on the two men, both moving to the side of the house Mil's window. My legs took off, my brain buzzing as the anger drove my cells mad.
"Kells!" Sloan's panicked voice made my heart race as i turned into the room, my eyes landing on a frightened Amelia, her body clad in only my hoodie and panties, pressed firmly against her headboard. My eyes turned to see Banks standing outside her window, the window I climbed through to get to her. Rage was an understatement, my cells felt as if a fire had been lit beneath them.
"Sloan, get in the bed with Amelia." I growled as Slim, Rook, and I pulled our weapons. "Now!" I barked as her body quickly fell into the bed, holding Amelia tightly to her.
"Oh come on boys." Banks teased through the glass. "I just wanna talk to 'er." I kept my eyes hard on him, watching his sick smirk as he watched my Princess. "If you don't let me in, I'll break the glass out." His voice was deadpanned. Yet his eyes didn't look away from Mil. My trigger finger twitched slightly. No matter what I felt for Banks I couldn't pull the trigger, but every fiber in my being told me it was the best option.
