Old memories & New Beginnings
The week went past pretty quickly, especially since everyone in Hope County was in the process of rebuilding the whole County. John Seed lost his Ranch to the Resistance members, or what was left of the Resistance members. Nick and Kim Rye became greedy and fought with John until he gave in and left. Deputy Aria was not pleased and neither was Jacob.
Seven years had been a long time and the Resistance was still living in the past. What really got to the Seed's was the fact that they opened their bunkers to these sinners when the collapse arrived and yet this was the way they were thanking them. It boiled Jacob's blood, especially since his baby brother opened his bunker doors to the Rye family.
Joseph Seed was fed up with fighting with the Resistance. They didn't appreciate what the Seed's had done for them so he decided that, it was best to leave them alone and to start a new chapter with his family, up north. Not far from his old church, Jacob and a few of his people started to build a giant wall made out of fallen trees, to keep the sinners out. They built small huts out of wood and twigs and a big watermill to help keep the water clean and drinkable.
Once their village was built, Joseph came up with a name for it and everyone loved it.
NEW EDEN

"So our night hunters have informed my brothers and me that The Resistance, or as they are calling themselves these days "Prosperity", has been under attack" Jacob explained to Deputy Aria.
"Is that so? By who?" Aria asked, curious to know who the Resistance's new enemies were.
"Highwaymen, I believe" Jacob replied back. "Fierce bunch of people. We don't know much about them but Joseph wants our people to keep a close eye on them".
"Is that really a good idea? I mean let the Resistance or Prosperity, whatever they call themselves, deal with the Highwaymen" Aria suggested and took a seat next to Jacob. "They deserve it after what the Rye's did to John and all of us".
"I guarantee you pup, those sinners will come and ask for our help" Jacob looked at his partner.
"Exactly and wouldn't it nice to turn them away" Aria suggested again.
Jacob pondered about it for a little then nodded. "Actually I would love to see Nick's face when we turn him down".
Aria smiled at Jacob and placed a plate of food in front of him. "Eat up, Jayden is waiting for his father. You promised him that you would spend some time with him".
"Ahh yes. How's he been since coming out of the bunker?" Jacob asked.
"Pretty good. He has adapted well to the real world. Plus, there is a lot of kids in New Eden that are his age. He has made a lot of friends" Aria explained. "He just needs his father now to make it perfect".
"I promised him that we've got seven years of making up to do and you know me well pup, I always keep my promises" Jacob said as he shoved a spoon full of food into his mouth.
"I know baby. I'll go and tell Jayden, he'll be so happy" Aria said as she left their hut.

Jayden, his dad and uncles jumped into a boat and decided to go and see Joseph's old church. They thought that maybe they could salvage a few things from the old compound, not knowing the state of the place.
"Wow. I can't believe this" John said as he jumped out of the boat. "The compound. It's completely flooded".
Joseph jumped out and froze in his spot as he saw his old compound, completely under water. "Oh my" he said in a sad tone and started walking again.
"What's this place daddy?" Jayden asked as his father helped him out of the boat.
"This was where your Uncle Joseph use to live. That place over there was his church" Jacob explained to his son. He held onto Jayden's hand tightly and followed his brothers to look at the compound from front view.
"It's gone. I didn't imagine it to be this bad" Joseph said as he suddenly started sobbing. "My home is underwater. I've lost everything".
"You've lost everything Joseph? What about me? My whole region is gone. The place that was meant to be home to me and my family" Jacob said from behind him.
"We got the point Jacob, you've got a family. You don't have to keep rubbing it into our face" John said, sarcastically.
"Maybe you should have settled down with one woman and had a damn family John. What did you do instead?" Jacob barked up at his younger brother.
"Jacob" Joseph turned around and pointed down at little Jayden, reminding his brother about the young boy. "Do you men feel like going for a swim around?".
"You've got to be kidding Joseph? It's almost night time and you want to go for a swim?" John asked.
"I've got memories around this whole place John. I want to see what it all looks like under water" Joseph said as he slowly slid his pants down. "I'll go myself".
"Dad, can we go too?" Jayden excitingly asked his father. "Please daddy".
"Sure thing son" Jacob agreed.

Two hours went by, Aria and Faith was starting to get worried about where the Seed boys were and why they hadn't come back yet.
"Somethings wrong. Those Highwaymen must have gotten to them" Aria panicked.
"Calm down Aria. I'm sure they just got stuck at Joseph's compound and are running back through their old memories" Faith said, trying to calm Aria down.
"I'm sure they can do that here too Faith. Plus it doesn't take two hours to go through old memories" she continued to panic.
"Faith's right, I'm sure they are fine and will be home soon" Megan (Joseph's new lover) said.
Not long after the Seed boys all returned home to New Eden, all with huge smiles on their faces. Aria ran straight to Jacob and Jayden and hugged them.
"Jacob, where have you been?" She asked.
"We all had a swim around Joseph's old Compound. Place is under water" Jacob explained.
"Really?" Faith asked.
"Yep. We all swam around trying to find some old items" John continued for Jacob. "All the small cabins are completely under water and Joseph's old church was slightly under water but still able to walk around".
The three ladies followed the Seed boys into New Eden's church, where the men explained everything to the ladies.

Aria sat across Jacob and Jayden, watching her partner sleep with his son in his arms. She never imagined what it would look like seeing the tough and scary Jacob Seed with a young child, but here she was seeing it with her very own eyes. The role of being a father really suited Jacob and he already seemed to be a professional parent.
"What are you staring at pup?" Jacob opened one eye and smirked.
"You" Aria replied back, returning a smile. "The whole father role really suits you Jacob. It makes you even more attractive".
"Hmm" Jacob responded before signalling Aria to come next to him.
She slowly crawled her way to Jacob, resting her head on his chest and wrapping her arm around Jayden. "He loves you so much Jacob".
"I love him so much too pup. Makes me want to have more kids" Jacob admitted.
"Wow tiger. You want to have more kids?" Aria asked, looking up at him.
"Yeah why not? Don't you want Jayden to have siblings that he can grow up with?" Jacob asked.
"Well yes, kinda. I mean I do want to have another child but what if those Highwaymen become a threat to us too. Would it really be a safe time to fall pregnant?" Aria expressed her concerns.
"They won't. As far as we know, they have major issues with the Resistance" Jacob said. "But if they do become a threat to us, I'll protect my family with everything I have. Don't you worry my queen".
