-Chapter 35-

JACKSON'S POV

I curiously knocked on Payton's door to see what him an Ava were up to. It was around 1:00 in the afternoon and they still haven't come downstairs for lunch or probably even gotten out of bed, which kinda annoys me.
"Come in." I heard, pulling me out of my thoughts. I opened Payton's door to see him and Ava cuddling on his bed. His arms were wrapped around her and her head was on his chest. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was jealous of them.
"Hey jackson!" Ava Said smiling. I smiled back at her then looked at Payton.
"Hey Payt, what do u guys wanna do today?" I asked standing on one foot, resting the palm of my hand on Payton's gaming chair. He looked at Ava, causing her to look down, and then back up at me.
"We were just gonna lay in bed and watch Netflix or something today, u can join us if you want." Payton offered, pointing to his love sack. I sighed and shook my head.
"No it's fine, I'll just go hang out in my room. Might go live or something." I said before standing up straight and walking out, shutting his door behind me. I heard Payton and Ava begin talking and soon stop as the TV turned on. I sighed and walked back into the guest room. Maybe it was wrong to come with Ava. Payton doesn't seem to even care that I'm here.

I walked back into 'my' bedroom for the time I'm here and faceplant on to the bed. I laid there for a few minutes before my phone buzzed. I gronaed and rolled over, picking it up. I glanced at the notification and noticed someone DMed me. I opened the notification and went to my DMs to see that alySmith had DMed me. I rolled my eyes and looked at the message.
Aly was either really sweet to someone or the complete opposite. Her an I we're friends back then, but sorta lost contact after playlist. She wasn't there at playlist which was kinda sad. I always thought she was a very pretty girl. But she likes Payton. Always has and most likely always will. My phone buzzed again, snapping me out of my thoughts and I looked down at the 2 messages from Aly.

alySmith:
Hey jackson! Long time no see eh?

alySmith:
Anyways I have a favor to ask! 🌸😊

Jacksonnfelt:
What do you want Aly?

alySmith:
Well.. I saw that Payton had a girlfriend and she seems uh nice and really pretty!

alySmith
So I was wondering if you could maybe set us up to hang out? I'm in North Carolina right now cause my parents are here for work, and I saw u guys were to cause of Payton's post.

Jacksonnfelt:
Uh maybe..? I'd have to ask Payton and Ava.

alySmith:
Of course! But if it's possible could we make it a surprise? 🙃🙂

alySmith:
I haven't seen Payton in so long, ya know? Or you and it be great to see both you guys and his girlfriend, Ava was it?

Jacksonnfelt:
Uh I'll think about it.

Jacksonnfelt:
And ya it's Ava..

alySmith:
Awesome! Really hope we can work something out!

alySmith:
I'm available all day today and the next week! Text me back anytime, my new number is: xxx-xxx-xxxx

I sighed as I closed my phone and mentally rolled my eyes.
Although a small smile creeped onto my lips as I remembered what she use to call me. Before we went our separate ways Aly would always call me 'jack's'.
But of course she wanted to meet Ava.
It didn't sound like a terrible idea. They would probably end up being best friends and then I could hang out with Payton more! It sounds perfect! Ever since Ava came it's been all about her.
Of course I'm glad there both happy now and all, but it's like I'm in invisible.

I thought back to my conversation with her and nodded my head. I quickly went and copied her number before texting it.

I sighed and set my phone down before sliding it in my pocket and standing up. I turned off the lights and closed the door behind me. I quickly called and Uber to take me to the coffee shop as I walked over to Payton's room and knocked on the door. I heard a groan from inside the room before someone called "come in!" I walked into the room and stood by the door, slightly leaning against it.
"Hey guys I was just gonna say I'm going to the coffee shop Soo.. If u need anything just text me." They both nodded and I smiled slightly before turning around and shutting the door. My smile turned to a frown as I walked down the stairs. Wow they really don't care about me.
They didn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm going out or anything. I get it, I sound like a bad friend for saying this and stuff but I just miss my best friend.

I opened the door right as the Uber pulled up and smiled before making sure I had my phone and wallet. I got in the back of the car and told him where to go. He started driving and I looked out the window. This is gonna be good. Ava and Aly are gonna become good friends and I'm gonna get my best friend back!
