PAYTON'S POV

I looked around my room hesitantly. Jackson just texted me saying that both his and Ava's parents said it was alright that they came here. Jackson told Ava that there's event here and that he was invited, and a loud to bring someone along. I was really excited to see her. To hold her again. She has no idea.
I smiled to myself as I began picking up my room when my phone buzzed. Still smiling I picked up my phone and noticed Ava texted me. As I opened it I couldn't help smile at her contact name. We watched changed them to resemble our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. I opened my messages app and read her message.

MyBabyGirl💗🌷:
Hey baby! So I have a quick question. Jackson told me that were going to North Carolina because he has an event and he invited me. But anyway I remembered you live there. So I was wondering if by any chance we could meet up? I miss you so much!

MyBabyBoy😘🌹:
Maybe! Idk for sure. I have a lot going on right now. I hope so but I'll have to check my schedule. Keep me posted on everything tho💗

I sighed and set my phone down.

AVA'S POV

As I continued packing, the thought of Payton and I seeing eachother again stayed in my mind. I deiced to finally confront him and see if we could meet. I took my phone out of my pocket and paused my music. I opened my phone and went to Payton's contact, smiling at his name.

MyBabyGirl💗🌷:
Hey baby! So I have a quick question. Jackson told me that were going to North Carolina because he has an event and he invited me. But anyway I remembered you live there. So I was wondering if by any chance we could meet up? I miss you so much!

I sighed and set my phone down. I guess not. I really did miss Payton. I let the thought of him and I meeting again and holding eachother stay in my mind before I shook it away. I have to stop thinking about that. If it's not possible, it's not possible. He probably lives in a different part of the state anyway.
I continued to pack my bag. Everything was nicely put away. I always rolled my clothes when I packed.
As the time passed I got bored, I finished packing an hour ago and I had nothing to do. I decided to go get a snack and try to communicate with my mother.
As I skipped downstairs I heard a faint sound coming from the kitchen. As I grew nearer I heard my mom.. yelling? I peeked my head around the corner to see my mom on the phone, a couple tears threatened to fall from her hazel eyes. I covered my mouth with my hand as I listened to what she was saying.
"You need to settle down Percy!" She shouted. I felt a tear fall from my eye, percry was my dad's name. Are they fighting?
"No you listen! I work so goddamn hard for this family and what do you do?! You leave everyday just to get away and go on your stupid buissness strips! Your probably not even working." She cried, the tears now falling from her eyes. She continuesly shook her head at what my father was probably saying on the other end.
"What about Ava?! You can't just leave her like that!" She said, her voice softening at the mestion of my name. I let out a muffled sob. My dad was leaving us?
"Fine! See if I care!" My mom yelled before slamming her phone on the counter. She let out a sob and fell on the floor, her head against the counter side. I let a few tears fall before I made my way from behind the corner and kneeled down by my sobbing mom.
"Momma?" I asked my voice cracking. She looked up at me and smiled softly.
"What's wrong?" I said, taking her hands in mine.
"H-hes... He's l-leavong us." She said, barely audible. I felt my heart break and my eyes growing foggy.
He was leaving us?
My dad was leaving me?
My family?

I covered my mouth with my hand and felt my arm give out, as I fell onto the floor by my mom.

He's leaving us..

first off don't judge Payton and Avas names in eachothers phones. Second, wow this was a sad chapter. But I had to add a little drama cause ya know. Hope y'all enjoyed.
