-Chapter 39-

AVA'S POV

I sucked in a breath as I pressed on her message. I didn't actually know Aly but from what I've heard of her from Payton, she is bad news. Jackson seems to really like her and apparently even set up a 'play date' for all of us. I thought it was sweet at first thinking that he wanted to help me make friends and all but right now I just wanted to hang out with Payton and spend time alone with him. I don't get to see Payton that often. Him and jackson have been best buds for as long as I can remember, but him and I have only know eachother for almost 8 months now? And started dating less than 2 months ago. We've seen eachother twice, this being the second time. And we were only staying here for maybe another week and a half.
I sighed as I looked down at Aly's DM and read it.

alySmith:
Ava! Hi! It's me Aly!

xx.Ava.xx:
Oh umm.. hi?

alySmith:
Has Jackson told you the exciting news?!

xx.Ava.xx:
About the carnival..?

alySmith:
Ya!! 😊

xx.Ava.xx:
Oh uh ya.. Jackson told Payton and I.

alySmith:
Oh joy! I can't waitttttt

alySmith:
I can finalllly meet you and see Payton again!

xx.Ava.xx:
Right. Well um I have to go

alySmith:
Ofc!! Bai Ava!
By the way my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx In case u ever want to talk!! 🌸

sure.

I rolled my eyes as I set my phone down. I looked over and saw Payton starting to wake up. I laughed as he groaned, sitting up. His messy hair sticking out in every direction.
"You ok." I asked laughing lightly, making him turn towards me.
"Peachy." He replied before laying back down.
"No come on get up." I said nudging his shoulder. He shook his head.
"Pleaseeeeee." I begged sticking out my bottom lip. Payton looked at me with the 'dont u give that look' face, but I only continued. He groaned again before sitting up and playfully slapping my shoulder.
"I hate you." He said getting up and walking into the bathroom.
"You know you love me!" I yelled smiling.
"It's sad, cause that's true!" He said poking his head out and smiling at me. I smiled back and laughed as he went and showered. I got dressed and walked downstairs to see jackson asleep on the couch. I laughed and walked over to him. I poked his cheeks acouple times but he never woke up so I walked into the kitchen and got a glass, filling it with water.
"Morning Ava!" I heard a voice behind me. Startled, I turned around to see faith smiling.
"Oh hey faith!" I said walking into the living room and right up beside Jackson. She looked at me weirdly but I just held up the glass of water over Jackson's face. She seemed to get the memo and smiled at me before walking away. I smirked once more before dumping the glass of water on Jackson. It splashed all over his face and I laughed as he slowly sat up, opening one eye. He turned to me and smirked, shaking his head.
"Your gonna get it." He said jumping off the couch as I ran away.
