-Chapter 40-

AVA'S POV

"baby come on." I pleaded to Payton as he walked downstairs. He shook his head, causing me to pout more.
"Come on pleaseeeeee." I whined. He groaned, walking into the kitchen.
"No Ava." He said looking me straight in the eye. I stuck out my bottom lip and leaned against the counter.
"Please Payton." I whined again. He shook his head and I huffed as his mom walked into the kitchen.
"What's going on here?" She asked, eyeing us both suspiciously.
"Ava wants me to take her to McDonald's and then teach her how to skateboard." He said.
"Well why won't you." His mom asked curiously. I nodded.
"Ya why won't you." I asked causing Payton to look at me. He licked his bottom lip and let out a small chuckle.
"Because-" but before he could finish his mom cut him off.
"Because why?" She asked also now leaning against the counter with her arms crossed. I smirked at Payton.
"Because.. i-" he stopped and looked around as Jackson walked into the kitchen with a towel around his neck. He just showered after somehow he ended up falling into Payton's pool. He wasn't to happy when I dumped water on him and it ended up with him chasing me outside and me running to the side at the last minute as he ran and fell into the pool. Sadly I didn't get it on video.
"Because I'm hanging out with Jackson today." Payton said bringing me out of my daze. I looked at Jackson and saw he was smiling big. Payton smiled back at him and then looked at me. I gave a small smile and nodded.
"But like we could all hang out together-" Payton started, but I shook my head cutting him off.
"No no no. U guys hang out. I might just go and check out the neighborhood. Might go into town and see if there's a Starbucks." I said shurgging.
"Or we could have a girls day!" I heard a squeal behind me. I saw faith smiling wide and I laughed, nodding.
"Ya I would enjoy that a lot! Gives me time to talk and get to know faith better." I said making faith squeal again.
"Mom you could even come too!" Faith said causing her mom to laugh.
"I think I might stay here, but you girls go have fun. And you two." She said pointing to Payton and Jackson causing them to stop talking.
"No causing trouble!" She said sternly. I let out a small laugh and smiled when Payton and Jackson both eagerly nodded. Faith grabbed my hand and together we both ran upstairs to get ready.
This is gonna be a fun day.

"ok so we're gonna head to the mall and get our nails done and maybe do a little shopping, and then get some lunch at the food court." Faith said as she started the car. I smiled and nodded.
"Sounds like a lot of fun! I'm glad we could hang out today." I said turning towards her.
"Me too." Faith said smiling wide.
"Oh Here." She said handing me the aux cord. "Let's see if you have good taste." She said keeping her eyes on the road. I nodded and sucked in a breathe going through my playlist. I finally decided on
'End' by Jeremy Zucker.

It started playing and I hummed along, looking over at faith. She nodded to the song making me smile.
"Like it?" I asked her. She turned to me and nodded before looking back at the road.
"Ya it's nice." She said.
For the rest of ride we both jammed to music and talked about life, just getting to know eachother better. I've learned that faith wants to become a photographer, and I support her 100%.

Faith and I were walking inside the mall, our nails painted and bags slinged off our arms. Faith got her nails painted a lavender purple and I got mine painted a light grey. We've stopped at a few shops. I got a few shirts and shorts from Hot Topic, Maurices, and H&M. Faith got a few shirts from Forever 21 and H&M as well.

We were now just sitting at a table in the food court, faith got a piece of pizza and I got some Chineese food.
We have very different taste in food.

I was about to take another bite when I saw someone very familiar looking over at me. They smiled wide and jumped up before they started walking over here, waving at me. I dropped my fork and looked at faith. She was oblivious to what was going on.
"um I got to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I said getting up and speed walking away. I turned around a corner and let out a breathe.
I was about to turn the corner when the person walked right in front of me.
"Ava!"
"Oh uh h-hey Aly."
