How did I get here?
Ryou was currently questioning his decisions that lead to right now. Seated in front of him were his 'parents'. You know, the ones that were never present the first fifteen years of his life. He is totally not sour about it.
Flashback~
"What?" Ryou paused as his hand was midway to his mouth with a piece of lettuce. Izuku wasn't looking at him in the eye, bothering him further.
"Oi, if you aren't going to look at me-" The green haired kid looked up immediately.
"I said if you can please come to a meeting with me." He said more confident. "I need you to be there."
Ryou thought it over while chewing on the vegetable.
"What's in it for me?"
"I'll supply you with a week of lettuce."
"Say no more, I'm in."
Flashback end~
Now he saw that it was a trap to lure him to a meeting with his parents.
Was the week worth of lettuce worth it?
He looked up and saw the couple sitting there, apparently having no idea how to start.
Fuck it, it's lettuce. Of course it's worth it.
"What do you want? Just spit it out already."
Ryou couldn't help but be a bit angry with them.
His mother looked at him and gave him a small sad smile.
"Well, we would like to explain ourselves to you. And answer any questions you have."
"Even if you have an explanation, I don't want to hear it." That was a bit harsher than intended, but his stoic expression didn't change.
Both looked surprised at his unwillingness. But what did they expect? For the child they abandoned at a random doorstep to suddenly hug them and call them parents? For crying out loud, he could have died for all they knew!!!
She looked down dejected, and he took her hand in reassurance.
"Alright, then don't hear our explanation. In the end, we had no right to suddenly barge into your life but-" He pauses to catch a breath and tighten his grip on his wife's hand.
"There is something you should know about your quirk."
Ryou raised a brow. What did they mean?
Seeing the boy was now listening, he continued.
"We won't go into detail as to how you obtained it; but it is important to note that it doesn't belong to you."
Ryou simply nodded.
"I had a hunch."
"Okay, now, do you know what happens now?"
"No." He has to be honest.
"Take transplants for example. In a high percentage, what happens when a foreign organ is put inside a body?"
"If it isn't compatible or some shit, the body rejects it because it's considered a threat. But how did this suddenly turn to a biology lesson?"
