Halfway into visiting hours, my brothers finally made their way out of my mom's hospital room. It was very evil that they had tears in their eyes, but you know men, always deny the evitable.

Once Calum and Bradley took their seats I stood up and then made my way to my mother's hospital room. I walked in am immediately my hand flew to my mouth. My mother's pale face, scared me. My feet didn't seem to take me any further into the room until I felt a warm hand on my shoulder.

I slightly turned my head and saw Tom. A smile played at my lips and the waterworks began. Tom laced our hands together, reassuring me that everything was fine right now. I walked towards my mom's bed and unlaced my hand from Tom's so that I could intertwine my fingers with my mom's.

"Hey mom." I sniffed.

"I miss you." I say my voice weak.

Tom began drawing circles on my back as an attempt to calm me down. And it walked. I stopped crying.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but...I hope you can. I have got someone really specifically here. He's name is Tom." I say and look at Tom giving him a smile.

"Hi, Mrs Montez. Your daughter truely is caring and has a heart of gold. Hopefully I get the chance to meet the woman that raised such a wonderful person." Tom says and looks to my mom and places a hands over my hand that held my mother's.

"Doctors say that they don't know when you're going to wake up but I hope it's soon. I've got so much to tell you. So much to show you." I say.

"What's your mom like? Tell me about her. " Tom ask me making me laugh as memories of her began playing in the back of my brain.

"When I was younger, I remember my mom being this energetic ball of energy. She was so good at multitasking. As I got older it was evident that her three children, husband and full-time job was wearing her out. She slowly began losing her energy, but she was still the fun and loving mother she has always been. When my brothers and I moved out, no kidding, she made us believe that she turned our rooms into a gym, art room and a storage room. Bet she didn't, she just wanted us to move back home.

To my mom, her children always came first, we were her number one priority, but now we are second, after her grandchildren that is. My mom's a strong woman and has overcome many things in life and she hasn't changed one bit. She's that type of mom that would tease you about having a crush, she's the type of person who would encourage you to chance your dreams no matter how when or where, she would be that type of mother who would allow you to go out with your friends and maybe at times throw a party, especially when my dad was on a working trip... She is the best and I'm not yet ready to say goodbye." I say, tears first began to fall but I toughened up.

Tom's POV (Bet you didn't see this coming)

When Calum and Bradley came back, they took their seats again. It was Alana's turn to see her mother. She seemed frightened. I wanted to hug her and tell her that everything was going to be alright, but u couldn't. Because even I didn't know if it was alright, if it ever would be alright.

Alana stood up and began walking towards her mother's hospital room. It seemed as if she was dragging her feet all the way. She didn't seem to be that confident girl I met weeks ago. This was a sad and heartbroken version of her. The girl I like so much.

"Go on. I'm sure she'll need you there." Bradley says.

"But only family's allowed in there." I say not wanting to get into trouble.

"You're a friend of Alana, to us that makes you family. Now go in there amd give my sister a shoulder to lean on. I think she'd prefer you then two sad dudes like us." Calum said and I smiled and got up.

I followed her from behind, she was oblivious to this. Once she got to the room she froze right at the doorway. I placed my hand on her shoulder to make her know that I was her if she needed anything.

I then gently laced our hands together trying to assure her that it was okay to enter. We took seats at her mother's bed. Alana let go of my hand and intertwined her fingers with the mother's.

It was heartbreaking seeing her in pain. I wish that I could just take it all back. But...I couldn't.

Alana's POV

When visiting hours were over we left the room and I saw a doctor talking to Bradley and Calum. I quickly made my way to them with Tom hot on my heels.

"So far, she seems to be doing okay. There is brain activity and her vitals are great. If this continues we might be able to tell you when she could possibly wake up. But all I can say right now is to have HOPE." The doctor said and left.

"At least it's good news." Calum says.

"You heard the doctor. We need to have hope." I said and smiled.

"He's right. We can't do anything at all, and that is what makes me sad. But when she wakes up, I think we should throw her a party. The entire family, close family of course." Bradley suggests.

"Sounds great." I say and smile.

"And you're invited too, Tom boy." Calum says and pats him on his shoulder.

"Welcome to my world." I whisper to tom making him laugh.
