"Kendall, I want you to help out with the lights. Stacy I want you Amanda, Collin and Devon to work on the curtains." I instructed the high school kids.

Not many high school kids helped out at the Christmas special concert, maybe eight it twelve. But there were definitely many elementary and middle school kids.

"Okay, can we go over I Don't Wanna Be Alone This Christmas." I say and the kids who were singing the song rushed to the stage and one if the teachers began playing the music.

This was the high school's item, thus was the first item of the concert.

I don't wanna be
Be alone
Unless I'm alone with you
Cause it won't be Christmas
It won't be Christmas
I just want to hood you close for Christmas
The way that I use to do.

"Maybe you wanna hold back on the first chorus and then raise your voice as you get to the last chorus and end on a softer note at the ending. But it's great." Louisa Johnson, a singer suggests to the high school students.

I've been stuck in the hall for four hours so far. My stress levels and nerves were out by the door.

"Okay let's continue. Next item is the dance." I say and the elementary kids walk out.

They begin to dance but then the all go off beat. We restart and this time I dance with them. But near the ending I stop and they continue dancing until the song it over. I hear a round of applause and I turn around to see Tom. I smile and walk up to him and hug him.

"Thank you for coming Mr Holland. As you can see, the entire concert is far from the beginning." I tell him in a formal voice.

I turn around and see some kids and teachers look at Tom in surprise.

"I can definitely see that Miss Montez." Tom says playing along.

I then feel a tug on my too and turn around to see one of the second graders.

"That is Spider-Man." He tells me pointing to Tom.

"Yes I am. What's your name?" Tom asks him.

"My name is Edward." The boy shyly says.

The day continues and the hours go by. The parents were arriving to pick up their kids and I was helping out finishing up decorating. I was quietly singing to myself but I mentally groaned when I realised that all I was singing were Christmas songs.

"Miss Montez, why don't I take you home." Tom says and I put away the rest of the decorations I didn't put up yet.

"Tom please stop calling me that. It was all fun when it lasted." I say tired and moody.

"Sorry, I'm just tired." I say and yawn.

"It's okay. You're under lots of stress. I understand babe. Come on let's get you home." Tom says and intertwined his fingers with mine.

As we leave the hall I say goodbye to all the fellow helpers and teachers. Who were still setting up.

Tom drove me home and I dozed off as Tom drove. I awoke to Tom carrying me bridal style into my bedroom.

"I'm sorry we couldn't spend the rest of the day together." I sleepily says as he sets me in my bed and places the sheets over me.

"It's okay." He says and pecks my lips.

"No it's not. I'm your girlfriend and I should make time to spend with my boyfriend." I argue.

"Babe it's okay, really." He says.

"Okay. Night, night." I say and drift off yet again to sleepy land.

The days went on and the Christmas special concert was finally over. Everything surprisingly went smooth there were a few bumps here and there but nothing we couldn't fix.

The highlight of the 23rd was that Tom surprised me and took me to dinner. He truly was the sweetest. I slept over at his and Christmas eve morning were made break together and just lazed around and had a snowball war.

Later on Christmas eve, I returned home and wrapped the last of the gifts I had left.
