The morning breeze - cold and crisp. The fresh air woke me up as the cold wind hit my face. Winter was ending soon and spring was about to fall. The ever blossoming flowers, one of my favourite things of Spring, were just mere months away. My hands freezing cold, hid deep in my jacket's pockets.

Once I entered a local coffee shop, they sold the best coffee, the warmth that I felt made me feel welcome. The increase in temperature felt nice for a change. The coffee shop wasn't well-known. Not many people came to it, maybe 9 or 15 customers a day.

"Alana, hey. A Coffee Cappuccino and a chocolate muffin?" Austin, a one of the coffee shop's baristas, ask.

"Yip the usual," I answer and pay.

I came to this coffee shop 7 days a week. It's was cozy and inviting, not many people know about this place, All Seasons. It lived up to its name. It had a drink for every season whether it was hot or cold out, name it and they might have it.

"Order for Ms. Montez!" A young girl calls out.

I walk up to her and she hands me my order. She must be new here, I thought.

After the coffee shop I made my way to my job. My job was amazing. Immediately after I finished high school I worked my way into university, part-time jobs, being a waitress at some a pizza restaurant from 11am to 5pm on weekends; a photographer from 1pm till 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all while still atrending classes from 9 till 12.

I always had to balance my life. I didn't have a romance life at all, it's not something that interested me at this time in my life, never has actually. I've been asked out 3 or 4 times in university, twice by Austin and 8 times in high school, I declined them all. My interests were just someplace else. But now I'm a full-time photographer, working from 9 AM till 5 PM.

With my schedule jam packed for the next 3 weeks, I had no time for off days, sick days, or even free time. I was fully devoted to my job, it was my passion (education was my passion too).

"Good morning Alana. Your folder for your first client of the day is set on your desk along with the files and ideas for the possible Teenage Life Magazine covers for August." Carly, my assistant/best friend, informs me once I step into the office building.

I thank Carly and then make my way to my office where I begin to go through my folder for my first client of the day.

Task number one was to take a family photographs. These were not really part of my job but I have made it. These past years I've been taking photographs of weddings and even children, nature and families. When you are a photographer you can't just limit yourself to taking pictures of certain things, you need to explore and be creative, it's one of the many ways of being successful in this business.

Photoshoot after photoshoot, my job was tiring. When the day came to an end, I cleared out my office and neatly cleaned up my desk. I placed my beanie over my head and put on my jacket.

As I walked out, Jessica, a good work friend of mine stopped me.

"Have you heard the good news?" She asks excitedly.

We we going to be taking photos for the Seventeen Magazine, January-February issue for 2018.

After leaving work I went to buy a coffee from All Seasons.

"It's been real quiet today," Austin states.

"Lucky you. Mine was jam packed."

After speaking to Austin for 15 minutes straight, I begin making my way out of the coffee shop, my coffee was now lukewarm. The vibration of my phone in my pocket grabbed my attention and then suddenly my coffee went flying on my jacket and jeans.

"I am so sorry," A voice apologises.

I looked at the person and saw him putting his phone away. I will admit he was cute.

"It's okay. It's my fault, I was distracted by my phone." I say and place my phone back into my pocket.

"It is totally my fault. I was on my phone texting and not looking where I was going. Why don't I make it up to you and take you out for another coffee?" The guy suggests.

Before I could comprehend what head just said my phone went off.

"Sorry, I've got to go," I quickly say and rush off.
