After three weeks my mom was finally able to leave the hospital, a bit of cardio and now she's able to walk better. Doctors have told us that there should be someone living with her for the next 3 months.
I was going to stay with my mom and watch over here for the first two months and the Calum would watch over her while I'm at work and the third month. Calum was now doing online classes, he said that doing nothing was becoming boring. And yet, we all are still awaiting to meet his girlfriend.
Sadly Tom was in America still. We all decided on going through with the welcome party, I invited the Holland's of course, they are like family now to me. I'd go around almost everyday and her the boys out with their work, and just visit. I thought I was becoming a nuisance, but Tom told me to do it.
Nicola said that she loved having another girl in the house. She and Dominic made me fell like they were my parents too. They were living and really caring which meant a lot to me. Dominic was like now the father figure in my since I lost my dad a couple of years ago to the same thing that happened to my mother, a car accident.
The house was filled with aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and some close extended family. And if course my friends and the Holland's. So getting the place ready for the party was easy with all the help I had. It was a bit tough being back home. I never set a foot back home since the death of my father.
It was still the same old way it always use to be. Pictures above the white mantle with refurbished wood. Pictures of my family and all the good days I can remember. Above the pictures was a television, well that's new.
Bradley drove Calum and I to the hospital and we helped my mom into the car. She was so use to bring independent, wow these next few months are going to be really hard.
We drove back home. The cars that lined down the street and garage way, made it evident that there was people awaiting to see her. This wasn't a surprise party.
We helped our mother inside, as we opened the door my mom was shocked at everyone who was here, many family members she hadn't seen in a while and here mother and father here. Yes, my mom's grandparents are alive, my dad's died when I was a toddler, sadly.
The family greeted my mom and then I introduced her to the Holland's. My mom, Nicola and Dominic hit it off immediately. All the boys below the the age of 16 years we chased into Calum's and Bradley's room to play X-Box and the girls were in my room playing with old dolls of mine. So only adults were in the open plan living room, dinning room and kitchen.
"Alana has really be a great help, she would take time off her hectic schedule and come over and help the boys out with homework and tasks. You've really raised an amazing daughter." Nicola says.
"Looks like I really have." My mom says and smiles at me.
Carly, Jessica and Sam pulls me away from my mom and the Holland's. The dragged me outside my my arms.
"Girls, this really is not..." I was cut of by the view of Tom standing on the porch. Now I didn't know if it was just a cutout of Tom until he spoke up.
"Hey babe." He says and smiles.
I wiggle my arms out if the girls grip and run towards him and hug him. I didn't want to let go so the hug was really long.
"H...h...how are you here?" I asked in shock as I pulled away.
"Well hello to you too, love." Tom says with a smile.
"But you're suppose to be in America shooting the film's. How are you here? You..." Tom cut my ranting off my kissing me, I kissed back as the fireworks and knots in my stomach happened. My hands went around his neck and my fingers played with her curls.
