MAYBE SHE WAS TOO BUSY WITH HER FRIENDS.

Finn woke up to the sound of birds chirping, literally to the sound of birds chirping because he left the balcony door open last night.

The room was warm because the door had been open, so Finn had got up that morning to close it. The freezing cold air came back within minutes which made Finn surprised.

He's never had an air conditioned room before, it felt so nice. Everything in his room looked fancy and it wasn't only three feet wide, it was humongous.

After he closed the door, he decided to take a shower. He fiddled with the shower knobs, trying to figure out which one was cold and which one was hot.

As he was doing so, he heard a knock on the door.

He jumped and went to the door to see who it was, he peeked through the peephole and saw a lady dressed in a white type of dress.

He furrowed his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes, assuming this lady was probably nice and had good intentions.

He opened the door and the lady held a silver tray in her hand.

"Complementary." She said with an Asian accent, bowing her head and leaving as soon as he grabbed the tray. He didn't even get to tell her thank you before closing the door.

On the silver tray was a bowl with different colored cubes inside, it was a fruit bowl, there was also a cup with black liquid and little packets of sugar. Next to the sugar was a small, mini cup with white liquid in it.

Finn furrowed his eyebrows at the weird stuff on the tray he had never seen before.

He set it down on the table and went back to the bathroom, turning the shower off for a minute. Then he walked back to the tray.

He just stared at it and remembered what the lady had told him, "complete-mentary." He sounded the word out to himself, confused as to what it means.

He didn't dwell on it for too long as he just sat down at the small table and put one of the colored cubes into his mouth.

He chose the green one and immediately spit it out, then the yellow one- he just dropped it out of his mouth again because it was so bad tasting. Last but not least, he hoped the red one wasn't like the others.

He shoved the red cube into his mouth and immediately did not regret it. It was so good, how could he have not known that all these foods exists.

He has been living off of weird canned beans and potato chips for too long.

Then he wanted to try the black stuff and so on. He just wanted to try everything that he could possibly try now that the world was before him.

Suddenly he got the idea to go out and walk around, surely it would be fun like an adventure.

Finn dropped what he was doing and went to go take a shower. Soon he changed out of his clothes and into new ones he just got.

After an hour or two, Finn was ready as he grabbed his backpack and headed for the door. Everything awaited him outside and he was so excited to get the day started.

Finn wandered down the sidewalk, remembering his way back as he walked.

He would've got the car but he didn't need to, at least he didn't think he would need to. He just wanted to enjoy the nature and everything around him for once, then again, Dacre could be lurking around just looking for him.
