THEY LOOKED REALLY FRIENDLY TO HIM.-
A tough world, Finn thought.
He couldn't believe that he had just got away like that, he could've done that years ago.
He was driving down a highway, a familiar one. It was just him on the road, maybe a few random cars would pass every few hours.
Finns been driving for hours, thinking he's probably far far away from the warehouse. He's so exhausted, yet he wants to keep driving so he can be as far away from that place as possible.
Suddenly a big green sign was plastered in front of him that hung above the road. He couldn't read so he just ignored the sign and let driving.
It read somewhere along the lines of:
WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.
He couldn't read big words that well so the only ones he had saw was 'welcome to' and 'angeles.'
Along the way, he spotted a gas station. He furrowed his eyebrows, turning into the parking lot and parking in the white lines.
He got out of the car and locked it, going inside the place to get snacks. He's only been inside a gas station once and that was for a heist. He shakes the thought off and walks down different items, sure, he thought about stealing but he wasn't going to do that.
Out of his years of living, the lost important thing he knew was that stealing wasn't good. His friends or so called friends did it all the time. He was just the driver anyway, he liked driving.
"You gonna buy somethin' or just stand there, kid?" The cashier said, catching Finns attention. Finn looked over at him and held up his finger, the cashier sighing to himself, waiting impatiently. He also saw a rack by the register, it catching his attention.
Different types of sunglasses were scattered on the rack, he picked out a pair and set it on the desk before going to find other things.
Finns eyes scanned the various isles but once isle caught his attention.
The candy isle.
He strides down the isle, looking at different things he's never seen before.
A big, stupid smile spreads on his face and he grabs a handful of different candy bars, wanting to try every one. He was like a little child in heaven mentally.
The cashier furrows his eyebrows and gives him a weird and bizarre look as he stumbles over to the counter and throws them all down.
The man scans them anyways without question and gives him his total.
Finn furrows his eyebrows at what the man was saying until a light bulb appeared over is head. He holds up his finger, telling the cashier to hold on.
He swings his backpack around and opens up the secret pocket, glancing at the man to see if he was looking into his pocket. He was so he pulled the pocket closer to him so the man couldn't see and he pulled out a hundred dollar bill.
The cashier gave him his change and put all his junk food in a plastic bag. Finn puts on the black sunglasses and begins to go out the door.
"Have a nice day." The man says in a confused voice as Finn nods and shoves the change into the plastic bag and runs out without saying a word.
