"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"

-

"That'll be $5.95."

Finn slammed a ten dollar bill on the counter harshly, telling the man to keep the change.

He walks out of the gas station with a cold drink in his hand, he had walked a few miles from the city to get far away. Luckily his face wasn't caught on the news or anything, no one even saw them at the pier the other night, it was just some old lady reporting two shadows.

It took him at least a few hours to walk here.

He also didn't have a car, which sucked for his feet. He damned Dacre for everything so far.

As he walked out of the convenient store, he looked around and spotted an old man and a beat up truck. It definitely wasn't the best vehicle but it worked at least. He suddenly got an idea, the idea circles around in his mind for a moment.

But then Finn paused for a second, stealing a car from a random man could get his face or at least descriptions of his ideal face everywhere on the news. He couldn't risk that, he'd rather be just here on the side of the road, maybe hitch a ride along the way.

So, he started down the road, kicking a few rocks here and there. Walking was probably the most boring thing to him, there was nothing to do but look at everything around you.

But suddenly, there was a small car coming down the road. He glanced at it for a moment, not really taking notice of it.

Then it stopped a little ways in front of him, the back window rolled down and a brunette popped out from the door window, causing him to jump in surprise.

"Get in!" She yelled, opening her door quickly and giving him a pleading glare. Finn furrows his eyebrows at the familiar girl, why was she here and how did she find him?

"No, it's not safe." Finn yells and walks past them, not giving them a second glance.

Millie huffed, thinking that this boy was just something else before closing the door abruptly.

Caleb puts the car in reverse and backs up further, Millie's head popping out the window once more.

"What do you mean? Listen, if anyone sees you they might report you to the police." She calls out quickly, Finn stops in his tracks and slowly turns to her in confusion.

"They didn't see me." He says sternly, furrowing his eyebrows at the brunette.

Millie narrows her eyes and tilts her head in confusion, seemingly not understanding what he was even on about.

"Your face has been all over the papers for twelve years, Finn. If anyone sees you out here...look- just get in the damn car, okay?!" Millie yells out the window hurriedly before opening the door once more, scooting to the other side of the backseat.

Finn rolls his eyes stubbornly but gets in anyway, he still didn't fully trust this brunette but he had to take a few risks to find out if she really was trustworthy.

He slams the door behind him, relaxing in the cool air conditioned car.

He could practically feel her intense and curious gaze set upon him, it made him squirm for some reason. Small little bumps appeared on his arms as he met eyes with the girl.

"What...do you want from me?" Finn asks in a firm voice, his words were now as confident as ever. He never once stuttered, of course he knew how to speak the basics.

"I don't want anything, trust me." She softly says, acting as if Finn was some kind of fragile animal. He didn't know why she was so determined to know him, why was she so committed?

"Finn, it's me okay? Caleb." A voice says suddenly, Finn looks at the rear view mirror to meet eyes with a dark skinned boy.

He furrows his eyebrows and as if on cue, his eyes light up.

"Caleb." Finn states in a breathy voice, not really knowing how to react. Caleb nods and glances at him once more, smiling warmly.

"And gaten, remember me buddy?" Gaten says as he was sitting in the passengers seat. Finn averts his eyes to gaten and a light smile plays on his features.

"Gaten."

The tension died down, knowing Caleb was the one driving had calmed Finn a little bit. He was comfortable with knowing some friends were still around.

Abruptly, Finns vision started to become hazy. White started to cloud his eyes as he became lighter and lighter. It was like as if someone was lifting him up, like he was floating.

With a quick inhale, he passed out, his head hitting the window harshly, getting the attention of everyone in the car.

Millie jerked her head over to him, her eyes widening in shock before going to his aid.

She places her hands on his shoulders for a moment, not knowing what to do as her heart starts to pick up rapidly.

"Gaten, Caleb! What do I do? What do I do, he passed out of something?!" Millie screamed, cupping the side of Finns face gently. Gaten turned around and widened his eyes, putting a hand over his mouth.

"Oh my god, oh my god! Oh my god!" Gaten screamed as Caleb almost lost control of the car because of it.

Caleb angrily let out a noise in frustration, focusing on the road.

"Is he okay? What the hell is happening?!" Caleb yells, trying to drive down the straight road without his hands jerking the wheel.

"I don't know- I-"

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!" Gaten screamed over Millie, Caleb rolling his eyes in annoyance before turning the car harshly into a random parking lot.

It looked like they turned into a supermarket parking lot.

He stopped the car and turned it off, everyone breathing heavily as they all just laid back in their seats.

"Finn-" Caleb gestured to Finns body, unbuckling his seat best in a rush.

"-Yeah, I'll get him." Millie replies quickly as everyone starts to get out of the car.
