MAN, HE SURE WASN'T GONNA MISS THIS PLACE.-
12 YEARS LATERA boy sat on a bench in the middle of a chaotic city, rushing cars passed by and random people in suits walked along the sidewalks.
He was waiting for a signal, he didn't know what kind of signal because his friends weren't specific enough. He was tired of this life already and he just wanted to do something else.
He picked up a nearby news paper that someone had left on the bench, he slid over to the other side of the bench, snatching it up.
He opened the paper, looking at all the weird lines on it. Why was there always some weird squiggly lines?
Oh wait, he can't read. After a slight pause in realization, he scolded himself, muttering stupid under his breath. Then he crumpled up the newspaper and threw it on the ground, angrily.
He yearned for the ability to read, write, and learn. He's never been to school since he was 4, he had turned five that summer and never did he think he'd be in this position.
Suddenly his watch got a weird beep, he rolled his eyes and realized that was the signal.
He shot up from his seat and pushed through a crowd of people, getting to a certain parking lot and hopping in the drivers seat. He lit the ignition and the car started to hum in tune.
He loved driving dacres car, in fact it's the only car he's ever driven. The rest of the gang won't let him drive their cars, probably because he's almost totaled dacres car during one night.
Suddenly, the passengers door opens and as it closes, Finn immediately takes off and swerved through the parking lot. He speeds down a few roads, a red and blue right becoming visible behind him in the distance.
"Step on it, kid!" Dacre yells as Finns grip on the wheel tightens. They go faster and faster, drifting down turns and dodging other cars and taxis.
Suddenly, Finn took his foot off the gas pedal and switched gears, slamming his foot back down onto the gas and driving even faster than before. He eventually loses the cops and he turns down an alley way.
"You guys made it I'm assuming?" Natalia asks through a radio, Dacre pushes down a button and confirms her guess, looking to Finn with a smile before he bursts out laughing.
"You did it, big guy!" He says and grips Finns shoulder, shaking him violently.
Finn has the smallest smile on his face as they sat in the alleyway, waiting out the cops. A few police cars passed them with their sirens on, not even noticing the cherry red car parked in the alley.
After a few minutes, Finn reverses the car and they drive back to base.

"Wooo! That was awesome!" Dacre yelled as he got out the car, walking into the warehouse.
Finn just sighed and walked behind him, seeing as everyone was in the main room.
As Dacre celebrated with the group, Finn just sluggishly walked up the metal stairs to his room. It wasn't really a room though, it was more like an extra closet that could fit at least a bed and cabinet. That's all there was honestly.
He shut the door behind him and fell onto his small bed in the corner, his legs nearly trailed off the end of the bed because they were so long.
Then he flipped a small switch by his bed that turned on his lamp on the shelf, still afraid of the dark. It was a small lamp in the shape of a bear.
