"Hey, (yn) look how beautiful the rain is" Syd said as we both stared out the window at the cloudy gray scene outside. It was in fact beautiful.

"Wow" I said, marveling at it. I looked at syd. His deep dark eyes were staring out in wonder. "Wanna go for a walk?" I asked. Syd beamed.

"That sounds amazing" he said and I got up from my chair to put on my coat. We walked out the door into the pouring rain.

"I haven't felt the rain on my skin since I died" Syd told me, his chin pointed upwards, his eyes staring up into the sky at the droplets decending onto us. I reached over and held his hand. He outstretched one of his black angel wings to shield me from the rain like a feathery umbrella.

"Thank you" I said quietly.

We wandered off with no place in mind until we reached a field by the woods. I put my arm around syd and we held hands and started dancing in the rain looking into each others eyes, swaying left to right. I leaned in and kissed his lips and he kissed back.

Soon we started to hear thunder and decided to go back to my house where it was safer. We came in soaking wet from the rain.

"(YN) WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN IN THIS WEATHER??" My mom said.

"Don't worry I was just on a walk" I said. She sighed and left the room.

"Ooh what's this?" Syd said, taking a book off the self and reading the back.

"That's (your favorite book)" I said. "It's my favorite book. You wanna read it with me?" I asked him.

"Sure" said syd. "What's it about?"

I explain to him what it's about. He decides it sounds interesting and we go upstairs and sit in the bay window together against some pillows all curled up in a blanket and we read. The sounds of the rain and no thunder outside must've lulled him to sleep because soon he was resting his head on my shoulder out cold.

I covered him with the rest of the blanket that I was using and let him sleep curled up in a ball in the window.
