Chapter 1-

L's Pov:

It's been a decade since I have seen my husband Zens. I remember it all as if it was yesterday the day he was forced to leave this world.

Flashback:

I was waiting for Zens to return from a small case in Ohio.

"Dada, why do we have to sit here and wait it's boring." groaned seven-year-old Katriel.

"Come on Katri, he should only be here in 2 minutes and 31 seconds." said six-year-old Arielle who was playing with blocks stacking them one up onto the next.

His brown eyes a mess and bags under his hazelnut eyes. He wore a black shirt and jeans. It was quite weird in a way of having Katriel and Arielle as our adopted kids. Zens and I found they picked up many of our traits as well as some of their own. For example, Katriel likes to dress similar to me and sits like me even after all Zens attempts of breaking him out of that habit. Katriel certainly got his stubbornness and his ability to think ten steps ahead from Zens. He was quite a quiet kid compared to most. Then you had Arielle who was one year younger than Katriel and was almost as sarcastic as Zens at times. She has furious like a lion when angered and Arielle had gotten Zens social skills that was for sure. Especial when she tried to make a cat army from the pounds across Japan and almost succeed too. Arielle liked to stack anything she can find while she is thinking.

Zens and I loved them both especially with the similar traits we all shared.

"Pa." Katriel and Arielle yelled out at the same time as they tackled Zens

"Oh no, they found me." Zens said in an overdramatic way

I laughed at my husband and children's antics. Zens gave me a death glare.

"Laugh it up Ryuzaki but one day they will come for you."

"I believe that Zens-Kun is a drama King." I said with an amused smile on my face

"I feel offended ." Zens exclaimed

Suddenly the airport become cold and other people disappeared around us like smoke.

"I'm scared." Muttered Katriel as he hid his head in my side.

Arielle clung to Zens like glue when suddenly a robotic creature that comes out of nowhere.

My eyes glared at the creature. It had to be a Shinigami.

"Prince Zens, It is time."

"If I go. No harm will befall my family?" He asked the undead creature

"Zens don't do this we could find another way," I said but I knew it was pointless

I knew I had to let him go.

"No, you can't take him." Arielle growled as she clung onto him

Zens set Arielle down.

"Arielle, listen to me. I am going to leave Katriel and you with Dada and I promise you, I will see you again."

Arielle ran over to me as the Shinigami got closer to Zens.

"I am ready." Zens said as he Shinigami smiled as they disappeared into the smoke.

A tear fell from my dark eyes.

"Pa!" The children yelled out in distress

Suddenly the children and I found ourselves back inside the busy airport as if nothing happened.

Flashback end:

I was brought out of my flashback the sound Arielle yelling, "Katriel you get your royal ass back here right now before I stab you with my sword."

"If I go anywhere near you, you will stab me with that piece of metal."

"Did you just call Raion?" Growled out Arielle

"I still can't believe you named your sword that."

"Well, at least I didn't name guns peace and keeper." Retorted Arielle

"L get your children before they destroy another window." Yelled Near

I sighed and looked once more up to the starry night sky to see the northern star shining brightly.

"I don't know what to do Zens. At the rate, they are going to kill each other before they reach 20. I need you." I muttered to myself as I was about to leave to save Near from my children when the star flashed behind me.

Katriel Pov:

I rolled my eyes at my little sister's antics.

"Who are you calling a baka, you ketsu." She Growled at me as she swung her sword at me as I dodged

"Well, you're the one swinging an overgrown kitchen knife at me."

"Kitchen knife!?!?!?" She exclaimed at me

"Guys please stop fighting, " Uncle Near said in a monotone voice

Suddenly Uncle Matt and Mello walked in with a container of popcorn.

"They're still going at it?"

"They never stopped." groaned Near as he started stacking his match sticks again She grabbed my hair.

"Ahh." I said as I glared at my sister as I grabbed her hair.

"Hey." She growled at me

"Ladies you're both pretty now cut it out." Uncle Matt said as he looked up from his game before going back to it.

"This is all your fault." We said at the same time

"Okay guys time to go." said Ryuk as he snapped his fingers

The room began to spin.

"Stupid Shinigami," I muttered as I heard Ryuk's laugh and that was the last thing I heard before my vision darkened
