3 hours to Baghdad, presently on the train.
Malik's POV

Ever since we stepped into our cabin, Ria was strangely quiet. She kept staring outside the window and I, at her. I knew that what we are about to do, might as well end in a bad way. Either of us can die or maybe both.

Good thing, I called a friend of mine from RAW, for our assistance. If the man behind the attack on the embassy had its system hacked, then it would be easy to say that if we call Rick or Director, he would know that too. I hope Dad and others are alright and had safely returned to India.
For Ria, well, if I ask her how she is, she would possibly give back a sarcastic sassy answer saying,

"Of course, I am alright",

"Why? Are you my father?",

"No. I am not. I have a ghost who is looking at me now".

But I know, she is not okay. She might be good at hiding but I am good at reading people. I finally decided to talk to her, about her and if it's the right time, then maybe about my feelings too.

I called up, "Ria".

She turned her gaze towards me and nodded me to speak.

"I was thinking. After we reach Baghdad, we should try the oil supply factories. If Osman is shipping the bomb by oil tanks, so we must search those factories that are mostly deserted, not used or kept open to mostly small groups of men."

She nodded, "That's a good idea. Call Raj."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "If we call Raj, then that MAN may know our location and also what we are about to do."

She nodded yet again, and began, "I am giving you another number. It's non-traceable. Raj gave it to me in case of an emergency. He carries it with him every time."

This time, I nodded and began to take down the number. During this, Ria didn't even look at me and kept on looking outside with an expressionless face.
Something was distressing her. I saved the number and cleared my voice to begin the conversation I wanted to have with her.

"Ria. What's wrong? Ever since we stepped into the cabin, you haven't spoken a word. If there's something bothering you, tell me. Please. I think we have come this far enough to trust each other. So if there's anything bothering you, talk to me about it. Let me help you."

She slowly turns her gaze towards me.

"You talk too much."

"Well, you should start talking too. "

She smiled weakly at my response. Then she let out a heavy sigh and began.

"What if Amit is there?".

"Then we will take him alive and bring him back to India."

"No. He won't come."

I let out a sigh and with a quiet calm voice, "Ria, listen to me. The man you loved, the man you married is long gone. He is a different person now. If he wanted, he would have come to you straight away or at least made any sort of communication with you."
