I looked up from smoking my blunt and ash'd it once Riley came out onto our bedroom patio pushing her hair silky straight hair behind her ear.

" Yeah Luv , let me get just finish this clip and imma met y'all in the car.. cool?"
" Yeah baby, let me go get Sam's gym bag and we'll be waiting for you"
I smiled slightly at her she headed back into the room. Sighing I relit my blunt looking out onto my backyard. To say I was uneasy about this whole meet up shit would be an understatement, I didn't want Sam to have any parts of knowing Shantel.
On the ride home from Disney yesterday Sam had so many questions about Shantel, but the one she kept repeating is why Shantel left her.
I wiped down my face as I stood and clipped my blunt, making sure the smoke was out before I left it in my ashtray go back into the house and down the stairs to meet Riley and Sam outside in my trunk.
Kinsley and Santana were still Kash and Rocko's house since lastnight.
"Daddy you take forever"
I chuckled at Sam's words as I hopped in the driver seat of my Range. Riley has already strapped Sam in her booster seat in the back so I was the only thing left stopping us from leaving.
"You and ya' momma take longer stop it cuh"
I looked in the review mirror as I backed out our driveway at Sam mean mugging me, arms folded and all.
" that's you cuhhhhhhh"
" Aht Aht, you know better Samantha Joy"
Riley spoke as she texted alway on her phone, never even looking up at me and Sam being petty .. sticking our tongues out at each other in the mirror.
I pulled off out our drive way into street traffic as I made my way to the YMCA in Compton. They also had a Gymboree next door that we took the kids to often and the Staff knew me and my family well. I thought it would be a safe place to meet Shantel.
The ride was less than 15 mins, as I slowly pulled into the parking lot. Since it was only 11am on a weekday the parking lot wasn't that crowded and all the cars there were either employees or regulars.
Where this chick at?
I turned the car off after I parked as Riley unbuckled herself and then went into the backseat to get Samantha, who had fallen asleep from the smooth ride.
"She's to heavy for me to carry now"
I chuckled as I opened the back door and scooped up a sleeping Sam into my arms.
