3 days later...
Crenshaw, Los Angeles
Shantel
I looked at the address Jared told me to meet him at and was annoyed when I saw it was a tattoo shop in Crenshaw.I took in my surroundings... Swap Meet, Soul food restaurants, donut shops .. child's playing tag in a near by park, old school impalas rode by blasting West Coast music. Blue and red flag bandanas and Ray ban shades covered the heads and eyes of some of the drivers. I felt at home as I adjusted my shades waiting for the light to change to cross the street to the tattoo shop side.
I smiled as the hood niggas made compliments my way. But none of them could hold a candle to Don.... yes, Don.. I don't know what it was but the last few days the conversation as been amazing.. it started as a plan just to get into the right circles in LA hoping to bump into King , but Don changed that.. tonight we had our first real date and I was excited ... just needed to get Jared off of my back.
I entered Lucky Mark Tattoo's shop and was impressed by the decor, the walls were filled with large art works of Geishas and Skulls.
I cant lie I was impressed by the owner and his shop.
Once I was in the shop, Meek Mill blasted from all the speakers, people were moving around fast, there was not one chair empty. I noticed a few rookie Lakers players getting tattooed as well, this must be the spot to come to.
Soon I spotted Jared sitting at a females tattoo area all the way in the back of the shop. He was in the chair with his eyes closed as she finished up his left sleeve tattoo.
I stared at the tattoo artist, wondering why she was the only female in the shop and why did Jared choose her of all people to do his tattoo?
I cleared my throat to gain their attention, but only Jared looked up... lil miss busy kept tattooing, the loud drilling of her needle was annoying me.
"Hey baby, glad you made it ... did you find the shop okay?"
I forced a fake smile on my face as I walked over to him in the chair and kissed his forehead, never taking my eyes off lil miss tattoo's.
Still she had yet to give me even a look, like I wasn't even there.
'Yes, I took a Uber from your mothers house and made it here quick.... I like the tattoo your getting.... but don't you think a man should have done it? I mean her hands are tiny and females tattooing ... you trust her to do a good job?"
I smirked once I saw her needle stop and she finally looked up at me.
She was gorgeous
