Lost Angeles, LA
1 Week LaterDAVID "KING" EAST
The aroma of fresh, fried beef bacon invaded my nose causing me to quickly sit up in bed. I rubbed my eyes and scratched my hair before I decided to through the covers back and stand up, making my way into the our Master bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face, throwing on my black Nike B-Ball shorts and matching slides before making my way downstairs and into the kitchen. As I entered the kitchen, the house was fully up the kids where busy watching Peppa the Pig on the kitchen TV, as Riley stood by the stove, cooking up breakfast for the house. I turned my attention to Sam as she ran over to me from the living room. "Daddy!" she squealed, hugging my leg.
"Mommy made us lots and lots of bacon." she grinned.
"Oh really?" I asked rhetorically before bending down so we were eye to eye. "We still have to share with mommy, but I'll sneak us both a few of her pieces." I whispered, chuckling lowly as she giggled and ran off to the living room, for her Peppa stuffed animal more than likely.
"Okay, deal!"
I walked over to Riley and kissed her cheek, standing behind her and wrapping my long tattooed arms around her petite waist.
"Morning, beautiful..." I mumbled as I watched her flip over the four pancakes in the skillet. I placed a soft kiss on her neck and let her go, grabbing four plates out of the cabinet and sitting them on the countertop for us.
"Good morning, baby. How'd you sleep?" she quizzed, checking on the bacon in the oven, the smell was to die for.
"Better than I thought I needed" I responded as I walked over to the fridge and pulled out the large bottle of apple juice and one of Santana's bottles. I poured a good amount into the three cups lined up on the counter as Riley fixed our plates. "Samantha Joy! Come eat!" I shouted, watching her run into the kitchen and sit at the counter, I couldn't hide my smile.
As Riley sat each plate down, she smiled a bit. "I can tell you were sleeping good, that's why I didn't wake you up."
"You woke me up!" Sam retorted, slightly pouting as she shoved a piece of bacon into her mouth. "I wanted to stay sleeping like daddy!" she spoke with her mouth full, looking from me to Riley
"Well, you needed a bath. You have things to do today, remember?" she replied, sitting down in the seat across from me.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. GYMNASTICKS!" she giggled, shaking her head. "Daddy, can you put syrup on my pancakes. I want a lot, a lot, a lot."
"Gym-na-stics Sam"
I picked up the bottle and drenched my pancakes in syrup before looking at Sam's plate. Pulling it over to me, I cut up her pancakes and poured a good amount of syrup on hers, but not nearly as much as I did mine. Sam plus sugar is just an accident waiting to happen and we didn't need that today.
