I turned smiling as I saw one of my young Crip niggas walking his way to the direction of my store
It was 11 am and I had just dropped off Santana at Daycare and I was now at the store about to open. Rocko had the day off so I had no issue with being here today alone. I actually liked connecting with the Community and people that came into the stor.
" What up nigga, you coming to grab them new Jordans that came out last week?"
I dabbed fives with my nigga Blue as I unlocked and opened up the front door to the store, flicking the lights on instantly.
" Yea, night Rocko told me to come on my day off and grab a pair he stashed for me in the back"
" No doubt, how's babygirl Cali?"
" Man she busy as I don't kno' what, baby moms be tripping but it is what it is.. I'm working doubles at the Auto Shop, staying out of trouble"

I nodded as I went into the back storage room for sneakers and found the size 12s that Rocko had out to the side for Blue.

I waved Blue off as he went into his shorts pocket for his money
" You good bro and imma bring wifey car by next week to the auto shop, she been complaining about her tires all week."

We dapped each other up as my sales team began to come in smiling and talking.
I went behind the register and found the speaker system, I turned on some Lil Baby and so the store was coming alive with customers.
I smiled to myself as my phone vibrated in my pocket. It was Riley calling to tell me how her interview went at Cedar Sinai. I was excited to find out if my baby got the job, wasn't no question.

Once I connected the Facetime I smiled into the camera biting me lip at how good Riley looked in her interview dress. Her hair was pulled back in a neat slicked back bun and simple clear lip gloss covered her lips.
