"Once again Mumbo Jumbo, I'm amazed.  Your whole entire base is spectacular!"  Grian complimented Mumbo.

We just finished building another farm to the lag-fest that is my base.

"You know, I don't know if you know this, but you have a part in all this.  I don't think you even mean too, but you push me to put more effort into everything." I said honestly.

Grian was silent for a second, comprehending my words.

"I never thought about that.  Yep, I take credit for everything you've built." He joked.

I chuckled, "Well you do deserve some credit, you help me build a lot of it."

It was late, we were tired, I yawned.  Grian soon followed, his more extreme.  He's been on longer than me.

"You didn't have to stay up this long just to help me!" I complained.

"I know!!!  I wanted too!  It's always a blast helping you." Grian defended.

"Maybe I shouldn't complain, it's nice to have your help." I admitted.

"See...  We both benefit." He said clearly with a smile.

"Well...  It has been a long day.  We should both be going to sleep now." I said looking at my clock.

"Aren't you going to record the farm finished??"

"No, I sound too exhausted." I laughed, "I'll do it tomorrow."

"Alright, well then, goodnight Mumbo!" Grian said goodbye.

"Goodnight." I replied, smiling.

  Grian left the game

I soon followed, turned off my poor computer in the old caravan.  Dragged my body into my bed and passed out.

It was the next day, I was on the hermitcraft server again.  I found myself getting a little bored, however.  I already finished what I needed for the day, all I needed to do was edit.  I didn't want to yet, so I stayed on and I realized what was missing.  It was Grian—he hadn't been on all day.  He usually swings by on discord at least, but nope, nothing.  He might just be taking a day off being yesterday I kept him up.  Fair enough, guess I'll just edit and listen to music...

Another day passed,  I got on discord but not the sever today.  The chat was busy, I scrolled up reading through it.  They were talking about Grian, curious where he was.  I was too, they asked me if I knew anything, being we were close.  I replied saying I don't know anything, and apologizing for not getting on that day.  Some replied quickly, saying it's okay and that he might just be really sick, we'll just wait.

Another day passed.  I got on the server, no Grian, I got on discord.  They had a huge voice chat open, I joined, curious if Grian was on.

"Hey guys." I interrupted the conversation.  Before they could reply I saw Grian wasn't in there.

"Mumbo! Finally!" Iskall exclaimed, along with gasps from the others.

"What's going on??"

"We are starting to get really worried about Grian.  Nobody can get in contact with him in any way, shape or form."

"Seriously!!?  Its been 3 days!"

"Exactly, we were thinking...  Could you please go to Grians house? Just make sure he's okay.  You're the closest to him, literally." Iskall pleaded.

"Of course!  I'll be the quickest." I oblige easily.

Ignoring the various goodbyes from the hermits, I quickly leave the server and discord, I'm really worried.  He would've given us a heads up if he was going to be gone this long...  And he hasn't even gotten on discord, texted anyone, nothing!  I hope he's okay...  I get in my car with google maps pulled up.  I haven't visited in awhile so I don't exactly remember where his house is.  Plus I'm in a bit of a panic, I don't want to miss a turn.

Eventually I get in his neighborhood, I don't need the map anymore.  His house is simple to get to, just 3 left turns.  The weather was nice today, I haven't really noticed until I saw some people out, walking there dogs or just jogging.  I finally made it to Grians house, I pulled into his driveway.  His car was there, everything seemed normal.  I got out of my car, walked up to his door, and rang the door bell.

It took a few seconds, but the door opened quickly once Grian realized it was me.

"Grian!  You're okay!  Wait—what's wrong?!" I was excited too see him but got distracted by his appearance.

His eyes were red and puffy under his glasses, he was crying, and I don't think he's taken care of himself recently.  His hair was unkept, still washed but a mess, clothes were pajamas, an old sweater and some long sweat pants.  The sweater was a dark brown and had a pattern around in the middle and it was held together by a simple button.  The sweat pants were a plain navy.

He looked away, almost tearing up, he didn't want to answer my question.

"Hey hey!  It's okay!  I'm just glad your okay right now." I put my hand on his shoulder, stopping him from thinking about whatever's been going on.

He looked back up, still no smile but no tears. "Come in..." he said lightly.

I walked in, it was about the same as I remember, except the curtains were closed.  The tv in the living room was on being the only light source in that room, giving it a colorful yet gloomy feel.  The tv was on mute right now, I guess because of me.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Grian asked, now in the kitchen.

"Uh, actually yes.  Can I have a glass water?" I ask, still just grateful he's okay.

As Grian was getting my drink, I noticed it was much darker outside then when I first got here, it was going to rain soon.

"Here you go." Grian offered me my drink, sitting on the couch.

I sat down on the couch next to him, taking my water, "Thank you." I smile at him, hoping he'll smile back.

He slightly did smirk, but it didn't last, something was seriously wrong.  I take a drink and then set the water down on the cup holder.

"Alright so what's been going on???  Everyone's been worried sick!" I finally ask.

He sets his drink down to, and takes a few deep breaths, looking down. "Okay...  Well there's no easy way to say it.  Pearl's gone missing..." he states holding back his tears.
