Despite having all these thoughts in my head, I managed to sleep.  I don't know how long I got too, but my alarm woke me up.  It was 5:30 in the morning, I haven't gotten up this early in forever.  The feeling I had though, reminded me of being a kid and being excited to travel somewhere, so it was easy to get up.  I made my bed in the rush I was feeling, and then headed to the kitchen for some coffee.  Grian will be here in about 30 minutes and then we'll be on our way.  Even with a long nights rest, the thoughts still engulfed my mind, about my relationships...

Mum is still fast asleep, I'm not going to wake her, I'll just text her updates on our way down. I checked the discord, I was going to tell the hermits what was going on. Grian already told them, he told them I was going with him and everything. Without missing a beat, they responded stating that we were spending a lot of time together. It's honestly annoying, me and Grian are good friends, sue us? Why can't we hang out, make up for the times we didn't previously? I didn't respond, let Grian deal with it, I thought.

The coffee was finished, I grabbed my mug and filled almost half of it with creamer, the rest with actual coffee. I twirled my spoon, mixing until blended perfectly. I enjoyed the first sip, my head felt clearer from all my dreary thoughts. I looked at the time, 15 minutes until Grian gets here, however he might be early, I secretly hoped. Those 15 minutes I waited impatiently, it felt like 15 years.

I don't know if it was the traveling jitters or I was just excited like a kid, but time is moving slower I swear. I finished my coffee with 10 minutes to spare, but I promise I took my time drinking it.  I cleaned the mug and just stared at the clock on the stove.

It was past the time Grian was supposed to be here, as if an eternity wasn't long enough.  My phone was charging at the kitchen counter and I just impatiently waited in my kitchen, pacing around.  After 5 minutes of Grian being late, I just tired to calm down, the coffee and adrenaline were making me a child.  I stared at the clock on my lock screen, and got lost in thought.  Grian's not a morning person, so I don't know why I'm surprised he's late.  I should have expected him too be, yet for some reason, I assumed he would be here early.  I'm a little upset at this point, not at Grian, but myself.  At that moment, the door knocked, braking the silence of the dawn.

"Finally." I whispered, rushing to put my phone up, grabbing my carry-on and suitcase, and heading to the front door.

I opened the door and was greeted by a sleepy Grian, yawning.

"Sorry I'm late, traffic and yeah..." He trailed off.

"Traffic?  At this hour?" I laughed, "Whatever you say, lets just go."

I directed the sleepy Grian to my car, popping the hood to put his suitcase and mine in the back.  He brought a blanket with his carry-on, I grabbed his suitcase first, and he immediately trailed to the passenger side to sleep.  Did he get any sleep at all?  How did he even drive here?  I decided not to question it and got in the car.  Grian was basically already asleep, so it was just me for the drive.  He still had his glasses on, so I stealthily took them off of him, and put them in a cup-holder.  For the rest of the ride, I quietly played my music as the sun slowly crept its way into the sky.

Grian woke up whenever I had to rent our spots to park our car.  His eyes fluttered from the sudden daylight, and he looked around surprised.

"Good morning." I said looking around for a parking spot.

"What time is it?" He said squinting at his phone.

"These might help." I said handing him his glasses.

"Oh, thanks?" He thought about something, probably wondering how his glasses got taken off.

"Oh, there's a spot!" I distracted him from the thought.

The distraction worked he looked up and then back at his phone, checking the time, "It's 7:24, good, we've got time. Flight departs at 8:30."

I parked the car, and straightened up a bit, "Alright, bathroom and then security."

We both got out of the car and grabbed our belongings. We didn't feel like waiting for the shuttle so we just walked to the airport, the spot I got was fairly close. Grian struggled with his blanket however, I chuckled a little before I took it from him, folding it up and shoving it in my carry-on easily.

"Thank you..." He yawned again.

"You need some coffee." I sighed, trying not to yawn.

"I haven't actually had coffee in forever." He replied.

"What?!" I exclaimed.

"Hello? We're British not American." He laughed.

"Yeah but the author is American." I scoffed.

"What?"

"Look, I'm getting you some Starbucks from the airport whenever we get settled in."

"Alright, fine." He sighed.

As soon as we walked in the airport, it was like pure chaos. The air roared with people, everyone running around trying to figure out where to go. However we had no issues despite the environment around us.  We quickly found the bathroom and then the airline that booked us.  Security was also fine, just took longer due to the amount of people.  Once you go to the airport, you're a pro by the second time.  All that was left now was to get Grian some Starbucks.  However the Starbucks was on the opposite side of the airport from our departing area.

"It's 8:10, we don't have time." Grian protested.

I chuckled, "C'mon!" I said, grabbing Grian's wrist and running the opposite direction he wanted to go.

The sudden jerk of me bolting caused my hand to slip down to his, It didn't bother me, I just kept running.  Security wasn't too happy, I just kept going, knowing they weren't going to stop me.  I pushed past the crowd and quickly made it to the Starbucks.

"Mumbo!" I heard Grian say as I suddenly turned around and stopped.

Grian couldn't stop as quickly as me, bumping into my chest.  His face was really red, did he have asthma?!

"You're face is red!  Are you okay?" I said pulling him off of me.

His breathing was fast, but not struggling to breathe, I thought he was fine.

"Um, yeah, just haven't worked out in awhile..." He coughed, facing away from me.

  He is a horrible liar.
