The plane slowly tilted up, and before we knew it, we were in the air. I was upset and tired, but I pulled out my camera and recorded, doing the cheesy vlogger taking off, pointing the camera out the window. After we were in the air, I put the camera away, I felt exhausted.

The long drive and coffee from the morning had worn off. The air pressure changing made my ears pop, but I couldn't be bothered. The one sip from the coffee I gave Grian felt like the only thing keeping me going, and my eyelids were heavy.

The plane was a bit rocky in the storms, stopping me from my sleep. I looked around, curious of my surroundings. Grian was awake next to me, reading some book. Everyone else was asleep and I didn't pay much attention to them. I paid more attention to the flight attendants, as they were acting suspicious.

They were whispering to each other, and had worried faces.  Everything went quiet but was quickly broken by the sudden arguing heard in the cockpit.  I looked over at Grian worried, he wasn't fazed.

"Grian!" I shook him, "Hey!" I whispered loudly.

"What?" Grian replied annoyed.

"Aren't you a little worried, did you hear any of what they were arguing about?" I asked, still worried.

"Something about the storms too bad and you shouldn't be drinking..." he said lightly trailing off.

"What?!" I screamed.

Everyone turned and shushed me, and then turned away.  Grian frowned at me and then did the same as everyone else, ignored me.  I seemed to be the only one panicking.  I looked out the window and saw the storm, the lightning was terrifying.

A sudden boom was heard followed by some screams with the other passengers, and the plane was not smooth sailing anymore.

"Now can we panic?!" I asked Grian, now perked up, looking behind him.

We were losing altitude, fast. The screams were louder. I felt tears form in my eyes. Grian faced me, now filled with terror. I looked out the window, everything happened too quickly, the ground was close. I watched in terror as we hit the floor. I closed my eyes and jerked on impacted, but was met with nothing.

When I opened my eyes, we were still high in the air, everything was calm. I looked around, still shaking a bit.

Grian was looking at me, "You must of had a nightmare, it's okay..." he put his hand on my shoulder, comforting me.

I exhaled and laid back, closing my eyes causing a tear to fall.

"Are you okay?" He asked, worried.

I laughed and wiped my tears, "Yeah, just a stupid dream."

I sighed again this time with pure relief, and sat back up, turning to see Grian.  His hand was still on my shoulder, but I didn't care enough move it.  I pulled out the camera and started recording, sitting it down between our food trays so I didn't have to hold it.

"What are you doing?" Grian asked curiously, moving his hand finally.

"I don't know, I think it's be cool to have a time lapse of the trip there.  And we can add our explanation over it, saying where we are going etc." I smiled.

"Alright, that sounds good." He said quietly.

I noticed his shift, "It won't be up for the whole trip there," I chuckled, "just about an hour.  This flight is roughly 9 hours, it'll be fine." I reassured.

"Your smile is..." Grian said, I couldn't hear the last part.

"Hmm?" I asked, noticing his flushed face.

He laughed a little, "Just—you are cute when you talk about your interests."

I was pushed back a bit from his openness, but welcomed it over the constant awkwardness.

"Thanks?" I laughed with him.

He didn't respond, so I turned to look at him.  He was half-asleep, causing me to smile at the sight.  I shifted a bit, nervous of what I'm about to do, before I even decided on my actions. I waited a bit, for him to fully sleep, and decided in that time. I glanced at him again, apologizing ahead of time.

With the lightest and the most gentle movement, I kissed Grian's cheek, closing my eyes on impact. I slowly backed away, just as gentle as before. I don't know why I did it, I sat back down in my seat.  I honestly just wanted to see if I would react, if I could actually feel something, for my best friend...  I put my hand on my chest.  My heart was beating fast, nothing too crazy. But in that moment, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel anything...

But who wouldn't?! I was instantly upset, and I don't know why. I did the same as Grian, gave up fighting and drifted off into my indecisive thoughts.

This time my dreams were forgotten as soon as I started to wake up. I felt my head laying on something, no, somebody... I opened my eyes, my heart picked up again. Looking down I saw his arms hugging mine, it was no other than Grian. He was laying on my shoulder and I rested my head on his.

I immediately started to pull away, still disturbed from earlier, not to mention this. I woke Grian up in the process, being he was holding onto my arm. He let go when he realized the situation.

"Sorry..." He said, blushing.

I turned away, "Yeah, whatever." I said coldly.

I could feel his stare, I resisted the stupid urge to turn and apologize, say 'it's okay.'

"Hey, what time is it?" Grian asked, shifting around.

"I don't know." I ignored him, staring blankly out the window.

"I had the weirdest dream, you were in it." He said quietly, but I heard him.

That finally made me turn, he was staring down at the floor. Was he awake...? Whenever I...

"What was it about?" I asked, worried.

"Oh, um, just us... In the Bahamas. That's all." He said unsure.

"Um, then that's not going to be a dream much longer." I joked.

That made him blush madly. I ignored his weird reactions. It was annoying for some reason. I took a drink from my water, I'm tired of everyone. I kissed his cheek, felt nothing, now end this madness...
